And in the Orsha area we're no longer fighting over river crossings....now it's a toe-to-toe battle over life and death.
I'm not so much after the territorial objectives as much as the Soviet units themselves. My aim is to weaken the Soviet
army by cutting down some of their manpower. To make their units weaker if possible by killing as many of them as I can.
This will help me in the coming winter season. The trick is to kill the Soviets without loosing a lot of mine.

This is the east side of Kiev right now and my units are racing southward to catch as many Soviet units on the east side
of the river as possible. To cut off their escape route and isolate and kill them.

Here's the front lines in T22 before I've moved anybody. You can see the bulge east of Kiev getting bigger and bigger.
I'm moving units to that area from the south and they are taking up the slack and pushing out the perimeter.

This is what the Leningrad area right now. Still little groups fighting against little groups. I'm going to have to
form a front line at some point I guess. But for right now the little groups thing is working.

This is Smolensk right now. The Soviet lines are too strong to get a breakthrough in this area. Maybe I'll get lucky
and the Soviets will leave a hole I can drive through.

The 11th Engineers are building a bridge over the Dneper river for the passage of troops and vehicles further to the
east.

Here's the Kiev area right now. The Axis forces are still pushing south and the Soviets are railing in people from all
over the map. The units that were killed earlier are respawning and Elmer is moving them to the front without any rest
or refit and some of them are in pretty poor shape.

Here's what the Crimea looks like now. The fighting is sporatic and seldom because the supply level is too low for
actual fighting. Things are happening in slow motion and everyonce in a while a unit will move or launch a probe.

Here's the front lines around Staraya Russia right now. We're pushing and shoving and the Soviets are too and so far
the Axis side hasn't demonstrated dominance and resistance is heavy.

Here's the T24 front lines before I have moved anybody. Most of the progress is still in the south. On the east side
of Kiev where I'm driving along the river trying to trap the Soviet defenders at the river crossings. Plus, I need those
crossings for supply purposes.

I did a save game and then zipped up the file and attached it to this post
for those of you who want to download it and look things over, review the
reports and check out the losses for either side etc.

And for those of you that want to look at a different turn I can post any turn
except 20. That turn went by so fast that it didn't get saved somehow. I'm
trying to keep all the turns in case there's a game engine problem or something.

This is what the area around Kiev looks like right now. I'm pushing and shoving and moving south and I'm meeting more
and more Soviet units. This is turning into a front line all of a sudden. No more slash and dash and more toe-to-toe.

Here's a section of the front lines where the way forward seems open and there's just no troops to take advantage of it.
On the other hand, the supply situation is getting progressively worse the further east the Axis units go. A halt is
going to have to be called soon.

This is the front lines in the north right now. Elmer has been railing units into this area so we're facing a lot more
Soviets than we were at first. The resistance is stiffening and the advance has halted here. It's toe-to-toe fighting
for the most part and progress is slow.

This is the Bryansk area right now and as you can see I'm starting to hit the supply levels in the single-digits and
that's not conducive to the advance I have planned. I'm going to have to slow down the pushing and shoving.

This is a view of the area above Leningrad and how the Finns are struggling to push the Soviets back and it's not working
all that well. The Finns are too weak to get a good AR ratio on the stacks of Soviets and the losses are mounting.
There's a stop sign when they get a little further south anyway, so it's almost the same as being there already.

For the river crossings south of Kiev I figured that I needed some leg infantry to stop up the hole and some arty to
support the infantry and maybe an HQ to support the arty and all of a sudden there appeared a sort of combined arms
base so I gave them the mission of stopping the flow of Soviet units going west and also to bombard the Soviet stacks
on the other side of the river. I did this for all the river crossings and I'm getting a few hits from the arty
bombardment but the Soviets keep rotating units in and out of my arty fire. I'm expecting the units on the east side
of the river to arrive momentarily. Maybe a turn or two.
