It appears the KB has disappeared into the Philippine Sea. An exuberant sub commander claims a sinking of Hiryu (they always do stuff like that). This is certainly false as there are no "ground" IJN AC losses. I will try to put some subs at possible recovery ports but there are too many to have much success.

Most likely, KB will detach Hiryu and then beat feet down toward Rabaul. It's about 45 hexes to be within striking range of Buka. Most likely about 4 days but they might need fuel too. We will have to suspend operations at Buin before then. They could fly off bombers to Rabaul or Kavieng before then, of course. I doubt they would base valuable naval air crews at Rabaul while it is under bomber attack.

AF damage at 25% at Rabaul. Bombers appear to be gone but still 50 bombers at Kavieng. Heavy bombers at Rennel stil in good shape so we go on. Jap transport force at Kavieng. Picking up? Dropping off?

Interestingly, the Japs seem to still have 135 Zekes (or other types) and lots of Netties at Kendari. They are not taking the bait and moving the Netties to help out at Rabaul. Oh well, at least we can have fun breaking things for a few days.
