Would it be possible to make the U-2 carrier capable?
I am not sure all U-2s are so, but at least some are.

Even if the answer is no, thank you, as always! [;)]

Hi! Would it be possible to add Bombardier Global 5000 to Commercial Aircrafts? German Air Force Special Air Mission Wing uses it beside A340 for VIP transport. I hate to force Chancellor Merkel getting in a placeholder CRJ. [;)] Thanks!

Got an issue with the Type 054A Jiangkai-II Frigate's HQ-16A SAM.
Tested them against close-by air-targets, but they do not fire. Weapon allocation screen says that it is unable to connect with mandatory datalink.
Image

A look into the db entry for the 054A frigates shows that, while they have SA-17/SA-N-12 Command Datalink [8 Channels], they do lack the SA-17/SA-N-12 Missile Datalink that is required for the HQ-16A (but not the SA-17 or the HQ-16B). Same missile datalink also seems to be lacking for the HQ-16A SAM launcher facility, but I havent tested it yet whether it works or not.

So, I'd suggest to either add the required SA-17/SA-N-12 Missile Datalink for all platforms using the HQ-16A - or, in case of the Type 054A Frigate, give it the HQ-16B, which already went into service some years ago.

(Also, official sources about the HQ-16B state that it is an active radar missile and not semi-active: http://english.chinamil.com.cn/view/201 ... 256402.htm)

Possible minor change to SA-6a GAINFUL data

Here are a some minor changes to DB3000 Weapon_1825 the SA-6a GAINFUL 9M336:

Database gives weight of 599 Kg, and a range of 1.5-13 nm, and an target altitude of 250-46,000 feet AGL, with a missile speed of 1290-1740 knts and a warhead of 59kg.

According to the sources below, these numbers should be (ussing the initial production Kub, IOC 1967):

Weight: 630 kg
Range: 3.2-11.9 nm
target alt: 328-22,965 ft
Warhead:57 kg

For the Kub-M3 (IOC 1976) the numbers would be:
Weight: 630 kg
Range: 2.15-13.50 nm
target alt: 65-26,247 ft
Warhead:57 kg

The sources below (except the OPFOR guide) also say the max speed is 600 m/s (1166 knts). OPFOR gives the missile speed at 700 m/s. However, this seems a little low to me, and I wonder if this 600 m/s represents the initial boost phase velocity.

[edited: Yep, the 600 m/s must be the boost phase. The missile eventually accelerates to approx. Mach 2.8, according to http://www.ausairpower.net/APA-2K12-Kvadrat.html ]

This is a game issue that should be fixed next update.

Will look at hq16b as info evolves.

Hello,

Please if there is time to touch SA-6 Gainfull also rename missiles from 9M336 to correct: 3M9 for SA-6A and 3M9M3 for SA-6B. I don't know why 9M336 is used in connection with SA-6 but it is wrong as it is actually different missile (Verba).

Here you can see what is actually written on SA-6 missile:

Hello! Please add Audacious class into DB3000 too. It will be cool to use this CVs with Bucaneers in what-if Falklands War. =)

Quite certain they're already in there. NI #10 would be impossible without them.

Isn't NI using the CWDB? We're asking for RN CTOL carrier assets for DB3K.

Here is an interesting hypothetical for the USN BBs - a bit of a monstrosity I would think but very cool.

Sorta reminds me of the BBG 72 Arsenal (Hypothetical Unit) currently in the database....no Harriers on that one though. The Arsenal is very fun to put into a scenario and blow up the general Theater of Operations.

There she is! DBID#669 BB 61 Iowa (Surface Combatant (Aviation Capable)

Any chance we could get her ported over to DB3K as it was considered for a late 80's conversion. Might be able to use her in an upcoming scenario.

Thanks
