Question gentlemen. Now that we have fixed my son's computer, he wants to start WITP He has another 10 days off). Where is a good place to look on the forum to plan a first Japanese turn. I have not done this yet and finding it a little intimidating.
Ha ha. 10 days should be just enough time, if just, to plan and program a first turn for Japan for a new player.

Spookys site I think has some sort of guide for Japan and also VSWG's "must read" sticky thread.

I have an unpleasant feeling that my PBEM with Bruce has gone out of synch, and I can't for the life of me find a thread with Pompack's Patented Re-Synching Method...[:(]

Thank you all for the input.[8D]

Terminus, sent you some data from a previus turn. Also, the op report for the either the March 1 or 2 turn reported sinking of CA Louisville. She is, however, fine. (Fine being a relative term in this instance.)[:D]

I got it. The Iro doesn't even have a scratch on her paintjob and neither does the Ryujo. Synch go out door bye-bye...[:@]

Almost as much fun as trying to figure out historical stats for the T-72 MBT. 24 hours after consulting or researching the past posts of the 'experts' at various forums (including Tanknet.org) i've come to the scientific conclusion that a coin flip might prove a quicker method to edit my SP OOB's to better represent this and other Soviet MBT's.

miight as well work some more on the next nikmod version [:@]

Well, there were a few T-72 variants. Pretty much every single user of it had their own...

Glory to the Thread.........Bruce....the trick with turn one for the Japs is to enjoy it.........take as long as you need......if I start a new turn one....it will take me about 12 hours to do........but I have now done a fair few turn ones.....and always remember.....turn one is phase one......start planning phase 2-3 while doing your turn one........you need supply/fuel/troops and support all alloted to future ops......just not turn one goals........I LOVE JAP TURN ONE........it's turn 2-1,400 that scare me.......

Yes, the more frustrating aspect though is that the armor stats don't make sense in the official OOB's, nor is there any consistancy in those designations even in the better researched armies. Ah....the simplicity and straightforwardness (well mostly) of WWII tank combat.

After the T-54/-55, it's probably the Soviet tank with the greatest number of subvariants...

Fan-Freaking-Tastic![:@] The Patented Pompack Re-Synching Method does not work!

It involves the Jap player turning off Combat Reports before running the turn. I did this, but apparently it didn't take. Wonder if there's a config file conflict somewhere...

T, I have never heard of a synch issue affecting Japan.

The synch issue affects me (I am seeing attacks that do not occur (unfortunately)).

Do I need to do something, Niceguy? Thanks

Bruce,

T said he tried PomPacks method and that didn't work. There are basically 2 kinds of things that I know that cause the synch bug (always affecting the allies like you described).

1. improperly upgrading the game.
2. strafing PT boats.

There are some other things that are strongly suspected. There does seem to be a bug of some sort that is tied to ASW attacks on subs, but no one can figure out what the trigger might be.

Is it an every turn problem?
