What did you do to the Guards Tank?!? Get their Morale up, soldier!

That unit is a beast. Ask Bullwinkle [:'(] (at least, I think ask Bullwinkle, maybe he doesn't have the same perception of it that I do). Admittedly, yours is only Exp 69, but that's still higher than average and because of that and its TOE it should be one of your best units. Rest it up and plug a hole.

It attacked the isolated troop at Katha, and then never got anymore supplies until it finally moved out of Katha which took a week. Sprinkle in some 4E bombing...and it is in tough shape.

The key to the delaying action at Rabual will be to keep Allied disruption high, waste their supplies and try to reconstruct your own forts.

If you're not already doing so, I'd consider a Tokyo Express style bombardment run. Destroyers on a daily basis, and everything else when it's reloaded.

It's expensive in terms of fuel consumption, but your back-ends to Tarakan and Balikipapan aren't too bad.

Franks on the Attack! Into a 150 strong fighter presence...where in the past we found front line fighters...but not this day!

This ship didn't flee fast enough...and actually reacted towards the enemy air for some reason...but perhaps I can keep her afloat.

A nail biter at Rabaul...but we hold and inflict slightly more damage on the Marines...tough troopers they be.

Why is it that Japanese bombardments are so inferior to Allied bombardments? This is a a 2 BB, 4 CA, 6 DD bombardment...

I will have to look up and see what is a DB-7B bomber. (A dutch medium bomber dropping 4 250kg bombs, range 6, 6 .303 mg for defense, speed 330 or so).

11 of them meet their makers this day.[:)] Not looking good for the minelayer...still has fires.[:(]

In my experience, overall they are not less effective.

Historically, the Japanese paid little to no attention to sea to shore based gunnery.

Our little port raid goes off without a hitch...with no AA present, the bombers can really line up the targets. A Lilly Divebomber squadron follows, and finishes off the last two xaks.

I was pretty surprised to see these ships here...recon actually was pretty accurate.

An incredibly bold move on my part here...there are over 350 Allied fighters present. I was expecting some, but not so much....but none are flying CAP over the base.

Bettys sneak in and sink 3 transmarine cargo ships...I was hoping for something better like the cruisers that are there...but my dl was weak.

No plane losses

There you go! I am trying to feel sorry for myself, plus setup poor expectations for the rest of the game on why Japan isn't doing well, and boy, do you ever ruin it.[:-][:D] Don't rain on my pity parade.[:D][:D]

Try again.

Why is it that Japanese Artillery is so inferior to Allied artillery. Heck, I have two almost full 75mm gun batteries here.

It is amazing all the things Japan can do in the game...that they never could have done in real life. But, come on, we all know the Allies are just overpowered and Japan is totally nerfed.[:D]

Ok, that is pretty much it for a few days as Jocke trips across world on a weekend getaway somewhere.

Any questions...
