This is indeed the reason for lots of actions in MWIF. At least on my part. :)

As an example: Plenty of times I've planned to stay neutral with Italy for a few turns. To either get the Allies to DOW Italy, or get more out of the surprise. But in the end it sounded to boring... :lol:

My guess is:
0 box only
4 points used to sub combat
Sink the CP
Then stay in the sea area but dive deep to avoid further combat

Yes. That sounds good. Sink the CP, stay safe, and remain in the sea area sounds like the perfect plan.
