fatigue really becomes a problem already! Even though we had a big escort, the Zeroes performed poorly. Will have to rest and rotate the groups, but we only have room on Palmyra for 200 aircraft. Still, CA Quincy is reported sunk! [&o] Bringing the totals to one BB sunk, half a dozen damaged, a CA sunk and another CA in sinking condition. And an invasion that is near complete failure.

The Allied achieve a 1:1 but are surely highly disrupted. Will see if there won´t be anymore landings as more shock attacks will soon wreck the attackers.

US heavy cruiser Quincy was reported sunk near the Pacific atoll Johnston Island after being under attack by IJN long range torpedo bombers! BANZAI! BANZAI! BANZAI!

Left alone by cowardly US carriers, the enemy invasion fleet and troops pay a heavy price.

USS Quincy (CA-39), 1936-1942

USS Quincy, a 9375-ton New Orleans class heavy cruiser, was built at Quincy, Massachusetts. Commissioned in June 1936, she soon was sent to the western Mediterranean Sea for three months to protect American interests during the Spanish Civil War. In April 1937, Quincy passed through the Panama Canal to begin operations in the Pacific. She returned to the Atlantic in January 1939 and in February took part in Fleet Problem XX in the Caribbean. A good will cruise in South American waters followed in April-June 1939.

With the outbreak of World War II in Europe in early September 1939, Quincy began Neutrality Patrol activities in the western Atlantic area. She revisited South America during mid-1940 and over the next year participated in Naval Reserve training voyages, more Neutrality enforcement patrols and Caribbean amphibous warfare exercises. Beginning in July 1941, the Quincy cruised between the Atlantic coast and Iceland, marking an extension of U.S. "short of war" operations to the middle of the North Atlantic. Later in the year, she escorted a convoy from South Africa to Trinadad. These escort and patrol duties continued after the United States entered the war in December 1941.

Following an overhaul, Quincy transferred to the Pacific Fleet in June 1942. The next month, she was sent to New Zealand, where she joined the forces preparing for the invasion of the southern Solomon Islands. On 7 August 1942, Quincy bombarded Japanese installations on Guadalcanal in support of the U.S. Marine Corps landing there. During the night of 8-9 August, she was one of three heavy cruisers stationed in the northern approaches to the invasion zone and was sunk there by a force of Japanese cruisers in the disastrous Battle of Savo Island in the early morning darkness of 9 August 1942.

Fifty years later, in August 1992, Quincy's wreck was located and examined on the sea floor of what had come to be called "Iron Bottom Sound". She lies upright in some 3000 feet of water, with her bow broken off immediately in front of her forward eight-inch gun turrets, both of which are trained out to starboard. The ship's shell-riddled forward superstructure, shattered left gun of Turret # 2, destroyed aircraft hangar and collapsed after deck are indications of the battering she received from Japanese weapons during her final moments on the surface and from the crushing force of the deep sea after she sank

we ordered a couple of divisions to follow the 20 Chinese units onto the trails two hexes North of Chungking. We crossed the river and had to shock attack while suffering 20% disablements through our LCUs. Still the result was amazing, the Chinese assault value seems to be a joke (why I don´t know, even without supply they should have a higher av). The enemy troops were forced to retreat towards Chengtu.

we are really in trouble in Australia. At the moment I can only move 1000 out of 4000 assault points while Swift has no problems to move his troops and therefor it looks like we will be cut off as he seems to take advantage of my troops being frozen in place. We´re in a discussion now as I told him that I´m not pleased to lose 4000 assault points just because I´m hit by the movement bug (either my troops are at 75 or 59 miles, in both cases they don´t move). Swift told me he was hit by this bug in Malaya, China and Australia and at the moment it doesn´t seem as he wouldn´t take advantage of it. That´s a problem for me and I told him already that there´s no other consequence than to surrender as soon as my 4000 assault points are cut off (because they can´t move) and destroyed in 2 or 3 months (by an inferior force). Losing 90% of the Southern Area Army to the movement bug in the end is nothing I could sustain. Remember that I was on the offensive until my troops encountered the enemy LCUs and have been frozen ever since.

It´s a f*cking joke, I have a supply line (I see that because I get supplies en masse), the troops are not cut off and I have set my LCUs to march to a friendly base. Nothing helps though and Swift keeps bombing my troops daily and has now LCUs marching to cut them off. [:(] Same happens North of Alice Springs. The troops that were forced to retreat moved one hex and then were frozen in. Now the Allied troops were able to follow us and I´m sure they will be ordered to attack. That´s just great! Thanks for a perfectly running game.

yesterday we encountered the bombardment TF with the modern US BBs and so we sent in a cruiser TF under command of Tanaka today. Well, again I´m not pleased. The battle starts of with Tananka crossing the T while the enemy amphibious TF responds with fire from the lead ships only. What happened then is more than amazing. The lead ship was CA San Francisco and before we fired a single salvo San Francisco shot CA Kinugasa AND Aoba to pieces with 8 inch shells! Kinugasa is sunk with a 0,1% chance to survive and make Kwajalein. Aoba has a 80% chance to survive if there´s not an Allied sub that puts a torp into the cruiser. Seeing that I was really shocked as a surface combat TF led by Tanaka is normally far superior to an amphibious or transport TF led by a commander of which I never have heard of. And while we crossed the T, two of three or our cruisers were shot to pieces. Then Mogami and Aoba started firing back and shot up the enemy CAs and DDs. Our torp hit rate was amazing though! Both enemy CAs sunk today, the DDs are old Flush Decks so even if we only lose Kinugasa I don´t consider this as a victory. As the Japanese you can afford to get ships damaged, but not sunk. Two heavily damaged CAs on my side for those Allied ships sunk is something I would call a victory for us and an operation worth taking the risk. Losing a CA is in best case a draw (while I would run sooner out of CAs than the Allied if we trade them 2:1), losing both CAs is a DISASTER for my side.

In every case, it was a fault to send in the surface combat TF as my Betties / Nells from Palmyra can do the job and there I risk nothing. Bombers and pilots can be replaced, ships can´t.

instead of standing half of my Zeroes down, I had all on escort. CA Vincennes is comfirmed sunk now and a couple of other ships were hit too. Pilot losses are low for us again as it seems that a lot of pilots are rescued after being downed in the Johnston Island hex. To stay at my expression of ALLIED DISASTER, we are now at 1BB sunk, half a dozen BBs damaged, 4 CAs sunk, at least half a dozen DDs sunk and a couple more heavily damaged, a dozen merchants sunk or heavily damaged and the invasion force is nearly completely worn down already. How would you call that now Steve? [:D] And it isn´t over yet as either the Allied bring reinforcements or have to pick up all those troops again, all the time in range of Betties AND Zeroes.

IMO the Allied have to bring at least two more fully prepped divs with LOTS of transports to unload them ALL in one turn and then Johnston will fall. With the troops on hand it will be very hard for the Americans.

USS San Francisco showed the best performance of Allied warships so far, nearly sinking two Japanese cruisers in an engagement off Johnston Island! In the end, the brave ship was sunk due to Japanese torpedo hits! Japanese sailors salute the bravely fighting enemy!


USS San Francisco (CA-38), 1934-1959

USS San Francisco, a 9950-ton New Orleans class heavy cruiser, was built at Mare Island, California. She was commissioned in February 1934 and made a shakedown cruise from Hawaii to Canada to Panama before joining the U.S. Fleet in early 1935. For the next four years, she operated in the eastern Pacific and in early 1939 went to the Caribbean to participate in Fleet Problem XX. After the completion of that exercise, she led Cruiser Division Seven on a long voyage around South America, returning to the U.S. east coast via the Panama Canal. With the outbreak of the European war in September 1939, San Francisco made Neutrality Patrols in the Western Atlantic and Caribbean.

Returning to the Pacific in early 1940, San Francisco began operations out of Pearl Harbor, where she was undergoing overhaul on 7 December 1941, when Japan attacked the Pacific Fleet there. Though their ship was largely dismantled, the cruiser's crew actively participated in anti-aircraft gunfire against enemy aircraft. San Francisco was back at sea in mid-month, when she joined in the abortive expedition to relieve the American outpost on Wake Island. During the first months of 1942, she took part in the reinforcement of Allied positions in the southern Pacific, an attempted carrier raid on Rabaul and a successful raid on Japanese forces off northern New Guinea. In the August 1942 invasion of Guadalcanal and Tulagi, San Francisco operated with the U.S. aircraft carriers that supported the landings. She remained active in the Guadalcanal Campaign for three months, serving as task force flagship in the Battle of Cape Esperance on 11-12 October and in the first parts of the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal on 12-13 November 1942. During the latter action she was severely damaged by a crashing Japanese plane and by gunfire.

Following extensive repairs San Francisco escorted a convoy to the south Pacific, then went to the Aleutians, where she took part in the recovery of Attu and Kiska in mid-1943. In October, she participated in a raid on Japanese-held Wake Island and during the next two months was part of the forces that captured the Gilbert Islands and raided the Marshalls. She stayed busy in 1944, participating in the January-February Marshall Islands invasion, raids on Japanese central and south Pacific bases in February-April, and the vast Marianas campaign in June and July. Late in the year and early in 1945, following a west coast overhaul, she escorted the carrier task forces that raided throughout the western Pacific as U.S. amphibious operations seized the northern Philippines and Iwo Jima. From late March 1945 into June she participated in the Ryukyus campaign.

After the fighting ended in mid-August, San Francisco operated off China and Korea. She arrived back in the U.S. in December 1945 and was decommissioned at the Philadelphia Navy Yard in February 1946. Following more than a decade in the Reserve Fleet, USS San Francisco was sold for scrapping in September 1959.

USS Vincennes is also confirmed sunk today, lost against the victorious long range torpedo bombers from Palmyra! BANZAI! BANZAI! BANZAI!


USS Vincennes (CA-44), 1937-1942

USS Vincennes, a 9400-ton New Orleans class heavy cruiser built at Quincy, Massachusetts, was commissioned in February 1937. Beginning in April of that year, she made a shakedown cruise to northern European waters. In early 1938, Vincennes steamed through the Panama Canal to participate in Fleet Problem XIX and other exercises in the Pacific. She returned to the Atlantic in June 1939. Upon the outbreak of war in Europe in September, she began patrols to enforce U.S. neutrality and in June 1940 brought a shipment of gold from Morocco to the United States. In 1941, the cruiser took part in combat readiness exercises in the Caribbean area, including a large amphibious practice landing, conducted more neutrality patrols, brought another gold shipment from South Africa to the U.S. and escorted convoys through the north and south Atlantic.

In March 1942, with the United States now engaged in worldwide war operations, Vincennes transferred to the Pacific. The next month, she escorted the carrier USS Hornet (CV-8) as she launched a deckload of Army B-25 bombers on the Doolittle Raid against targets in Japan. She continued with the carrier force during its abortive voyage to the south Pacific at the time of the Battle of the Coral Sea, then returned to Pearl Harbor in late May, in time to participate in the Battle of Midway on 4-6 June. During that action, she screened USS Yorktown (CV-5) when she was attacked and disabled by Japanese dive and torpedo bombers.


Following repairs and tactical exercises in Hawaiian waters, Vincennes was sent to the south Pacific in mid-July to take part in the upcoming invasion of Guadalcanal and Tulagi, in the southern Solomon Islands. She was present during the landings on 7-8 August 1942, shelling targets ashore in support of U.S. Marines and providing protection to transports offshore against Japanese aircraft. During the early hours of 9 August Vincennes was patrolling westward from Tulagi with her sister ships Astoria (CA-34) and Quincy (CA-39) when a force of Japanese cruisers attacked. In a brief, intense gunfire and torpedo battle, the three American cruisers were utterly devastated. Vincennes and Quincy sank within an hour, and Astoria followed them under shortly after noon. They, with the Australian cruiser Canberra, were the first large ships lost in a body of water that would soon be known as "Iron Bottom Sound".

The third US heavy cruiser confirmed sunk today (bringing the total number of CAs lost near Johnston to 4) is CA Minneapolis, sunk by the cruiser squadron lead by Adm. Tanaka! BANZAI! BANZAI! BANZAI!

USS Minneapolis (CA-36), 1934-1959

USS Minneapolis, a 9950-ton New Orleans class heavy cruiser built at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, Pennsylvania, was commissioned in May 1934. A few months later, she steamed to Europe for a shakedown cruise and in April 1935 was sent through the Panama Canal to take up her regular duties with the U.S. Fleet. Minneapolis conducted peacetime operations, generally in the Pacific, through the rest of the 1930s. In response to growing tensions with Japan, her base was changed to Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in 1940.

Minneapolis was at sea nearby when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941. For the next several months, she usually served with aircraft carriers, taking part in raids during February and March 1942, the air battles at Coral Sea in early May and at Midway in June, the invasion of Guadalcanal and Tulagi in early August and the Battle of the Eastern Solomons later in that month. On August's last day, she assisted USS Saratoga after that carrier was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine.

On 30 November 1942, Minneapolis was flagship of a cruiser-destroyer force that intercepted a group of Japanese destroyers off Guadalcanal. In the ensuing Battle of Tassafaronga, she was one of four U.S. cruisers knocked out of action by enemy torpedoes. With her bow blown off, and a large hole amidships crippling nearly all of her powerplant, Minneapolis needed emergency repairs locally, and more extensive work at the Pearl Harbor and Mare Island Navy Yards, before she could return to active service at the end of August 1943.

Thereafter, Minneapolis was fully engaged in Pacific combat operations, participating in raids and invasions throughout the war zone. Among her major undertakings were landings in the Gilberts in November 1943 and the Marshalls in January-February 1944, the Saipan invasion and the Battle of the Philippine sea in June, the capture of Guam in July and August, landings in the Palaus in September 1944 and at Leyte in October. During the latter operation, she took part in the war's last major gunfire battle, the Battle of Surigao Strait on 24-25 October 1944.

In the first four months of 1945, Minneapolis supported amphibious assaults in the Philippines and Okinawa. Later in the year, after the fighting had ended, she covered occupation operations in Korea and China, then helped bring U.S. service personnel home. The cruiser was inactive at Philadelphia from early 1946 until formally decommissioned in February 1947. Following a dozen years in "mothballs", USS Minneapolis was sold for scrapping in August 1959.

Betties from Midway set to nav attack 13 hexes to catch the returning BBs from Johnston while not under a Cap umbrella at French Frigate Shoals. Even though the BBs were in range and spotted, the Betties decided to attack the DMS at FFS scoring no hit but losing two bombers. I´m pretty sure we will see far more fighters here from tomorrow on. Again the number of launched bombers is just depressing, as we have 54 Betties (with 0 fatigue and 99 morale) at Midway.

Like PzB always says, it´s impossible to launch big strikes against naval targets as the Japanese, you have to consider 50 bombers as super huge airstrike against ships. Palmyra has never launched more than 50% of it´s bombers so far. And yes, everything is just fine there. The base has everything that you should have to see airattacks.

unfortunately our opponent has decided to take full advantage of the fact that 90% of our units in Australia are hit by the movement bug, this will lead to the complete destruction of all troops there if I can´t come up with a solution (I don´t have one so it´s a real mess [&:]).

In a moment of anger just after seeing this attack, I decided to: ATTACK THE RUSSIANS!!! If Swift wants total war, he will get one, no matter if one is hit by a bug or not, I have decided to take advantage of everything possible. I won´t use gamey tactics but if someone is hit by a bug, then just be it.

So I have already ordered 6000 assault points from China to march into Mandchuria to take attack position and the 12000 assault points from the Mandchuko garisson to move into position also and to prepare for Soviet targets!!! 18000 assault points, BBs for naval bombardment, 300 Tojos, 100 Zeroes and 350 Helens should be enough.

I will activate the Russians and will give Swift at least two weeks time to move his troops before I will attack with my LCUs. I will attack with the Airforce and Navy from day one though!

When we lose 90% of the Southern Area Army in Australia because we can´t move our troops, then we have to compensate that somehow. With the political points we will be able to free a division every 2 months to use it somewhere in the SRA. China command units will defend Burma and Malaya. The build up for the invasion will take some months, so we will attack at a date when our troops are 100% prepped, probably around late Jannuary 43. I guess I will attack in four directions to cut the Soviet part of the map in pieces and then destroy all Soviet troops in every part one after another.

Like I´ve said, this turn has convinced me to wage total war now.

Palmyra has never launched more than 50% of it´s bombers so far. And yes, everything is just fine there. The base has everything that you should have to see airattacks.

I wonder if that was a change going from UV to WitP. I seem to remember uber strikes coming from Rabaul frequently in UV.

I have no idea. While the escorts seem to frequently launch 95-100% of the aircraft, the bombers are most times below 50% of the available numbers. Exactly what PzB is also complaining for... how long? years? [:D]

And I´m in a far better position than PzB because I´m playing with PDU on and this is Nikmod where 50 bombers and 50 escorts can do serious damage even if there are 150 fighters on Cap. That´s not like stock... Unfortunately this fact will hit me in my game against PzJg Hortlund where I´m the Allied! [:D]

I´m sure I will. In early 43 there will be some 200 max 4Es on the map, if he transferres them all to the Russians then he can do perhaps 250 points of damage to HI / oil / resources and then his bombers will be exhausted. I will of course bring a couple of AA units in position at every important base in Japan and after one attack at 16.000 ft against a base with 3 or 4 units with AA guns he will have only 60% of his bombers available the next day, so there won´t be more than 2 or 3 attacks that can really do damage. And don´t forget, my Helens will wreck havoc against his airfields. I will immediately take that base North East of the Kuriles to make it impossible to fly in US short ranged fighter units, so only Lightnings could reach the Russians from Kiska. But I´m not afraid of the 140 max Lightnings he can have in Jannuary as they won´t be all available for transfer to Russia anyway. Just think about one 72 plane FG in Australia and voilá, only one 72 plane FG left on the whole map. In late Jannuary he would have received 140 Lightnings (35 a month, starting 10/42). And my high exp Zeroes and Tojos can easily deal with the 55 exp USAAF Lightnings. When I see what Hortlunds Japanese fighters are doing with my Allied fighters in early 43, then I´m not afraid about Swift´s fighters, as his are even less experienced than mine in my game against Hortlund.

Heavy cruiser Kinugasa sinks 540 miles South West of Johnston Island due to heavy damage received during an encounter with Allied cruisers near Johnston Island. [:(]


Background

Kinugasa and her sister ship Aoba were originally planned as the third and fourth vessels in the Furutaka-class of heavy cruisers. However, design issues with the Furutaka-class resulted in modifications including double turrets and an aircraft catapult. These modifications created yet more weight to an already top-heavy design, causing stability problems. Nevertheless, Kinugasa played an important role in the opening stages of World War II.


Service career

Early career
Kinugasa was completed on 30 September 1927 at the Kawasaki shipyards in Kobe. Her early service was as flagship of the Fifth Squadron (Sentai), and she operated for virtually her entire career with that unit and the Sixth and Seventh Squadrons. In 1928, she became the first Japanese combat ship to carry an aircraft catapult.

Kinugasa served off the China coast from 1928 and 1929 and on several occasions during the 1930s. Placed in reserve in September 1937, she was extensively modernized at the Sasebo Navy Yard and not recommissioned until the end of October 1940.


Early stages of the Pacific War
In 1941, Kinugasa was assigned to Cruiser Division 6 (CruDiv6), as flagship of Rear Admiral Aritomo Goto as part of the First Fleet under overall command of Vice Admiral Takasu Shiro. CruDiv 6 consisted of Kinugasa, Aoba, Furutaka and Kako. At the time of the attack on Pearl Harbor, CruDiv6 was engaged in the invasion of Guam, following which it participated in the second invasion of Wake Island.

From January through May 1942, Kinugasa was based out of Truk, in the Caroline Islands where it provided protection for the landings of Japanese troops in the Solomon Islands and New Guinea at Rabaul, Kavieng, Buka, Shortland, Kieta, Manus Island, Admiralty Islands and Tulagi.


Battle of Coral Sea
At the Battle of the Coral Sea, CruDiv 6 departed Shortland and effected a rendezvous at sea with light carrier Shoho. At 1100 on 7 May 1942, north of Taguli Island, Shoho was attacked and sunk by 93 SBD Dauntless dive-bombers and TBM Avenger torpedo-bombers from USS Yorktown and Lexington.

The following day, 8 May 1942 46 SBDs, 21 TBDs and 15 Grumman F4F Wildcats from Yorktown and Lexington damaged Shokaku severely above the waterline and force her retirement. Furutaka and Kinugasa, undamaged in the battle, escorted Shokaku back to Truk.


WW-2 recognition drawing of KinugasaKinugasa was withdrawn to Japan in June 1942 for repairs, and returned to Truk by 4 July. Following the major reorganization of 14 July 1942, Kinugasa came under the newly created Eighth Fleet under Vice Admiral Gunichi Mikawa , based at Rabaul.


The Battle of Savo Island
In the Battle of Savo Island on 9 August 1942, CruDiv 6, Chokai, light cruisers Tenryu and Yubari and destroyer Yunagi engaged the Allied Forces in a night gun and torpedo action. At about 2300, Chokai, Furutaka and Kako all launched their reconnaissance floatplanes. The circling floatplanes dropped flares illuminating the targets and all the Japanese ships opened fire. USS Astoria, Quincy, Vincennes and HMAS Canberra were sunk. USS Chicago was damaged as were the USS Ralph Talbot and USS Patterson. On the Japanese side, Chokai was hit three times, Kinugasa twice (once in her No. 1 Engine Room by a 5-inch shell from Patterson and her port steering gear by a shell from Vincennes), Aoba once, and Furutaka was not damaged.

The heavily-laden American invasion transports off Guadalcanal were unprotected, but Admiral Mikawa, unaware that Admiral Fletcher had withdrawn his aircraft carriers covering the invasion, feared an air attack at daybreak and ordered a retirement. Captain Sawa of Kinugasa, frustrated, launched a spread of torpedoes from Kinugasa's starboard tubes at the Allied transports 13 miles distant, but all missed.


Battle of Cape Esperance
At the Battle of Cape Esperance on 11 October 1942, CruDiv 6's (Aoba, Furutaka and Kinugasa), and destroyers Fubuki and Hatsuyuki departed Shortland to provide cover for a troop reinforcement convoy by shelling Henderson Field on Guadalcanal. The fleet was spotted by two Vought OS2U Kingfisher reconnaissance planes coming down the "Slot" at 30 knots.

So alerted, the radar-equipped American cruisers USS San Francisco, Boise, Salt Lake City, and Helena and five destroyers steamed around the end of Guadalcanal to block the entrance to Savo Sound.

At 2235, the Helena's radar spotted the Japanese fleet, and the Americans successfully cross the Japanese "T". Both fleets open fire, but Admiral Goto, thinking that he was under friendly-fire, ordered a 180-degree turn that exposed each of his ships to the American broadsides.

Aoba was damaged heavily, and Admiral Goto mortally wounded. Furutaka was hit by a torpedo that flooded her forward engine room and was sunk by Salt Lake City and Duncan.

Kinugasa straddled Boise and Salt Lake City with 8-inch salvos knocking out Boise's No. 1 and 2 turrets. Kinugasa sustained four hits in the engagement. The following morning, Kinugasa was attacked by five American planes but not damaged, and returned to Shortland.


Naval Battle of Guadalcanal
On 14 October 1942, Kinugasa was designated flagship of Crudiv 6. The following day, Kinugasa and Chokai bombarded Henderson Field on Guadalcanal with a total of 752 8-inch shell.

From 24-26 October and 1-5 November, Kinugasa and Chokai provided cover for replacement convoys of troops and equipment to bolster Japanese defenses at Guadalcanal. On 14 November 1942, during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, Kinugasa was attacked by TBM Avenger torpedo-bombers from the USS Enterprise and USMC Avengers from Guadalcanal. At 0936 a 500-pound bomb hit Kinugasa?fs 13.2-mm machine gun mount in front of the bridge, starting a fire in the forward gasoline storage area. Captain Sawa and his Executive Officer were killed by the bomb, and Kinugasa gradually began to list to port. Near-misses caused additional fires and flooding and a second attack by 17 more Dauntless bombers knocked out Kinugasa?fs engines and rudder and opened more compartments to the sea. At 1122, Kinugasa capsized and sank southwest of Rendova Island at 08?‹45?ŒS, 157?‹00?ŒE, taking 511 crewmen with her.

Kinugasa was removed from the Navy list on 15 December 1942.

we don´t spot anymore US TFs around Johnston and it seems the invasion is over with the enemy troops sitting on the island and slowly gaining the upper hand. It really was close, but as it is now, it seems the more or less wrecked troops that were landed will be able to take the atoll. But like I´ve said earlier, our tactic of taking as many forward islands seems to already pay off as the losses for the attacker were sever! BANZAI!

my TK rgts are kicked out of Charter Towers by a couple of base forces. The constant air attacks made it possible. Just look at the adjusted assault value! [X(] That was absolutely catastrophic. I have to come up with a plan to free my troops in Australia again. Perhaps I should try something crazy...
