Germany land, Italy combined, Japan naval

Japan sinks US convoy in Marshalls and a US Cruiser in Coral Sea.

Italy does not find Allied fleets in W MEd and It Coast.

Germany rails a Mech from Russia to France and German units move south from Munich into Italy. Other German units move south and towards the French border in Italy.

German Air in Koenigsberg rebase to the West.

German forces finally took Penza but will probably not move into Siberia, will need to send some units back to the west and generally take defensive positions in Russia.

Troops pour into south of France. A Vichy Mech east of Toulouse was knocked out as was the Inf in Marseilles, the Vichy fleet rebsed to Toulon

US lost a Mot in the Marseilles attack.

Looks like this could be the summer of Italy falling. Also, USSR might get the breathing space it needs to build the airforce required to make a comeback in 1944-1945.

Reinforcements for July/August 43

During the Conquest phase Italy was incompletely conquered. The Allies held Tripoli and Taranto and had garrison superiority after many Allied planes rebased to southern Italy at the end of the turn.

Japanese SUBs fail to find US convoys in several areas.

Germany attacks in the Caucasus knocking out the flanks of the Russian defenses but suffer all disorganized in thewestern side.

German reinforcements all went to the west front and have been moving to defend in southern France.

In France the Germans start a defensive line
and in Italy take back the saved oil in Milan but have a supply problem there

The last Vichy unit is killed by the US in south France.

One more attack in the Caucasus takes one more hex but at a cost of a Div and a Gun lost and all disorganized. No more German attacks there this turn. It is probably too late to succeed.

German round strikes have only a minor success in France

Germany tries to form a better line against the Allies in France but doe not have enough units available there, another unit was railed from Russia to France.

The lini in Russia is still holding but is getting thinner.

CW and US forces advance further into France, 1 attack by the CW breaks the Loire river, German bomber support and fighter escorts were aborted by CW planes.

The Germans have retreated but do not have enough troops in the area to hold a solid front yet.
