Pelton retreats 20 miles (or is it km)

I am able to advance with some infantry for this attack North of Smolensk.

And the result. Many guns and tanks in the attack.

1st tank army follow on attack.

1 hex versus 1 hex. 800 tanks

I snake in a tank corp and find chance to temporarily cut off 3 German units.

Final middle positions.

Tanks are also able to breach lines just West of Byransk.

Infantry elsehwre just using mp's to get near retreated line.

No movement in far south. I am stopped at major River line.
Pelton continues to hold swamp hexes East of the Dneiper. I am sure he will move soon to West side.

He also retreats west of Kharkov. My infantry can't get near plus I am weaker in those areas. No tanks.

That will change soon as I am moving tanks from south to middle and near Smolensk.

RR not enough to move all the mech at one time.

Very sunny out. Temps in the 70's. Dry conditions.

Major German retreat of 4 to 5 hexes all along line except far south along Dnieper line.

This is first turn in a while with increased German casualties.

He still has major tank units down there guarding the river.

Where his retreat ends I have no idea. He probably has some fort line but I am in dark about that for now.

I attack the land bridge

Here a close loss near the land bridge.

I forgot to move up a second artillery division for this attack. It would have been enough to get victory.

Here are my attacks. I surround 2 German divisions but pocket is weak. I also gain a hex west of the river but can't push troops accros.

I am trying to flank the whole big D area.
