Italy though are risking to lose 4 BPs - the Gun left on its own is a combat factor 1 unit!
Wavell can easily blitz it, and round up with some extra shore bombardment to ensure it's a safe win!

Oh, why isn't the gun a 3?

Well, the axis actually won the initiative for the next turn and Italy was going to take a long needed naval. But, I guess Italy will take a combine and correct that situation.

In anticipation of, "Gear up production", the USA drops the number of oil points given to the CW by 1.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #1. Weather.

The axis win the initiative and decide to go first. This decision is rewarded by superb weather.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #1. Italy.

Italy aligns Iraq and the US does not react. Italy sets up the Iraq cavalry corps in position to quickly overrun and capture an undefended Kuwait.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #1. Germany, Italy. East Med.

The Germans take a combined and the Italians a land. The Italians use their one air mission to send their newly deployed NAV into the Eastern Med. The Germans send their fighter which was parked on Cyprus during the return to base phase of last turn.

The Germans elect to initiate combat and surprise the RN. The Germans really want the RN aircraft carrier Glorious. Unfortunately, for the Germans, even though the axis had a +2/-2 advantage in air to air, the German NAV is forced to abort. The RN swordfish in return is also aborted. But, a clear win for the RN as the axis now have no bomber to attack the RN fleet.

Both sides stay for a second round. However, either side finds the other so combat ends in the East Med.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #1. Germany, Italy. Cape St. Vincent.

The Germans use their combine to send u-boats into both Cape St. Vincent and the North Atlantic. In the Cape St. Vincent the Germans initiate combat, rolling a 2 followed by the RN roll of a 3 during the search. The final result is that both the German and Italian subs are forced to aborted. Another win for the RN.

German u-boats also try to initiate combat in the North Atlantic but both sides fail to find the other.

Turn 8. Nov/Dec 1940. Axis #1. Italy. Land Combat. Jaffa, Palenstine.

Italy throws everything into a land combat to destroy Wavell and finally secure all of Palestine. They're able to get decent odds (+12.4A) but miss the factional odds and then rolls low. The result is that they land combat is successful but the Italians lose 2 units including a newly deployed Egyptian Terr.

Japan takes a land and uses one of their two air mission for strategic bombing of Lanchow. The raid is ineffective.
