A man told me that one hand grenade gave enough fish to feed the company for one week. Of course, dynamite also works well.

Depth charges would damage the fish too much.

One could also make crab traps and put dead Japanese in there for bait . . .

To whom it may concern (sounds impressive...eehh..?.): Christmas time is approaching and General MacArthur has decreed a halt on all offensive actions in the Southwest Pacific Theatre and the Dutch East Indies on December 24th and 25th.

General info: The game has now reached December 24th 1942 and, as you may have noticed from my previous remarks, the "Evening Star" is issued regularly approximately 3 - 4 weeks after actual game time. The pages are written after each game day to be as correct as possible and to avoid retrospective impressions on actual happenings. But also, most importantly, not to give away too much of the game to the "enemy". With that, information security can be somewhat relaxed and the entertainment value perhaps increased (if there, at all, is one).

As an example, the next issue (November 25th) does contain some information which could influence on the "enemy's" actions as he, of course, has his own sources - meaning that we have no aggreement that he shall not read the "Evening Star".
