This is just after the combat phase and I'm moving units again and I've come to the SS Polizei Division and they have enough movement points left to RBC all the Soviet defenders around Riga and now there's only a single enemy stack left to defeat. An attack is scheduled but I can get units across the river at this point. I need the rest of the river crossings as well however. You can see the broken bridges that I will need to repair to make the crossing more efficient.

I had about a dozen units that could still move and I've moved them and now I have 9 battles left to do but there aren't a whole lot of rounds left so this may be the last combat phase for this turn. We'll see.

Daugavpils is an important crossing because of the rails that pass through it. I need that rail for supply and without it supply might only trickle to the east side of the Nieman River and my advance would be halted in the middle. I've been racing the Soviets to this crossing and I beat a lot of them. One Soviet remnant is being dispatched in the lower left of this image. None of those Axis units have any MP's left but next turn that Soviet infantry unit will disappear faster than a Russian journalist. I've got engineer units headed this way in case the Soviets break the bridge over the river. If it's not intact it does me little good.

It's taking a lot longer to digest that huge group of Soviet units in the middle but they are still there 2 turns later. I need to disengage the Panzers to let them zoom ahead. I feel like I'm falling further and further behind schedule in the south. The Soviets are escaping from Bessarabia into the Crimea and I'm not there to stop them. And the best the Romanians can do is clog up the river crossings.

There were at least 17 units that still had at least 1 MP left and there's 17 battles shed-ulled and THIS round will probably be the last one. Probably.
