This only makes both Russia and China has much more reasons and strategic measures to be "Predictablely Unpredictable" too. I am afraid the first day of real war will become "UNpredictably unpredictable" because of the potential nuclear exchange.

Worse, the initiated Trade War already draw attentions and necessities to circumvent economical and logistical issues, as Air & Naval contest will be subsided by land, I am talking about OBOR and other trans-asia infrastructures.

USS Michale Monsoor DDG-1001 needs both damaged main gas turbines replacement
https://news.usni.org/2018/07/11/second ... sea-trials

Quote:

" Galinis said part of the reason it has taken so long to replace the engine is that, with the MT30 being so large, a special rail system is needed to remove the engine and put in a new one. That system hadn’t yet been designed when the Navy realized it needed one, so engineers had to finish the design and then install the system.

“So that’s what’s taken us a little bit,” the rear admiral said."

Rolls-Royce MT30 gas turbine is also employed by CVF Queen Elizabeth-class, LCS Freedom-class and earmarked for use in the future UK Type 26 frigates, South Korean Daegu-class frigates and Italian Trieste-class future amphibious ship.

I think I need a scenario that involve with 2018+ of PLA's weaponry, especially a well-coordinated OECM and better DECM to seduce missiles:

Harpoon missiles are back in service after 20 years... at least for a single test.

Haven't seen any corroboration on this however.

Haven't seen any corroboration on this however.

There were high profile statements in early july about it. Only 12 planes will be ordered till 2027. The plane isn't ready.

If you believe that Chinese arms deal to the globe is the alternative form of expansionism, then you may take a look of this article. My opinion is: this is not how expansionism works, but the global influence is undeniable as long as China is pushing westward:

Also, PLAN has spitted at RIMPAC:

A new ONI ID chart for PLAN vessels.

http://www.oni.navy.mil/Portals/12/Inte ... 090249-333

Interestingly, they have given the Type 927 Sonar Detection Ship the code "DONGJIAN AGOS" and also updated the chart with the notice that the Yuting-I LSM 936 has been converted into the railgun testbed.

So, this chart is as much up to date as it can be.

I think the anti-Carrier drone is probably real. That would be an EASY system (by comparison to other choices) to develop.
The Russians have always done things THEIR WAY.
Consider their anti-Stealth Fighter. They do things their own way.

If the West is so certain that Japan can have strong military again, then why all the sudden to put a stop sign at Japan's potential nuclear stockpile, while US has passed the congress to build more W76 warheads?
