Actions. All three axis major powers pass in hoping of ending the turn (30% chance). Their ploy fails and the turn continues.

Fastest way for the US to get an HQ to the Far East is to rail it through Russia.
The key location in the game right now is Tokyo. Capture that, and the game is over. No place else makes any real difference.

True. However: a good Japanese player will put all it's units around their capital now, to prevent the capture of the place before the Cold War starts, which will end all hostile activities, and thus prevent the Emperor from being taken by the Allies.
Already it looks like that Uncle Joe doesn't allow Allied units to pass through communist controlled hexes...

I must say the playing solo allows me to play games like this out to the bitter end. It's definitely a blast playing it out and mopping the axis up. Though, if this were being played against another human the game would have ended a while back with the axis player likely conceding a couple of turns ago.
By the way, what did you think about the WW 1 Jutland style surface action in the Baltic? That was only possible because of playing this game beyond the point at which the "winner" was determined. Again, I must confess that that naval battle was a blast. The KM went out in a blaze of glory with their guns blazing. Just like they wished they had in WW 1 instead of being surrendered and scuttled at sea.
