expekt has similar odds, guess many people will bet on Romania and they are (BatandWin, Expekt) not sure how serious Holland will take the game

Well, but if Holland "helps" Romania (er, a Dutch defeat) then France and Italy are definitely KO, out of the Euro Cup. Don't forget that in theory they could meet again in semifinals. In other words, Holland might want to avoid the Big Two (already massacred, true) and play vs Romania (maybe) in semifinals [;)]

P.S.: the question is will the Dutch want to lose on purpose? Hard to believe.

Turkey was victorious 3-2 today after trailing 0-2 behind against the Czechs. Cech made a big mistake , which lead to the 2-2 equalizer. Now they have to battle croatia in the Quarters.
Foolish action by Demirel, getting the red card for pushing Koller at injury time. Guess the tournament is over for him, as Turkey will be out in the Semifinal ;)

In the other game Swiss beat Portugal 2-0, which was absolutely unimportant.

Today is the day, Cordoba will be revenged ;) At least a second Gijon won`t happen [:D]

but by both logic and law isn't he one of this usual "bought internationals".
The same for nearly all of the German players, all of them have at least on German parent. The only one who isn't a German after the old ius sanguinis is Gerald Asamoah.
He isn't in the team any more...

We had one really "bought international" in history - the South African "Wunderkind" Sean Dundee. It was a total desaster - for some reason he lost his form completely as soon as he got the German passport. Thus he was only once on the bench of the national team and once on the field for the B-team.

I'm almost sure that Germany will win against Austria tonight. But after that? I'm not very optimistic. The performance against Poland was "good enough", not more. I don't agree with all those people who say we played much worse against Croatia. Croatia played better than Poland, and thus our performance was not good enough any more. Big improvements are necessairy in order to get victories against strong teams.

Thanks Tofke, but I guess this is part of the issue. Maybe some people in my National Team would better start to get off the booze and the sex for a couple days if they want to pretend they're genuine football players... [:o] [:D]

I know, but he still may come back...

Yes, I have no doubt that we win against Austria tonight - if not, we really don't deserve to get into the quater-finale. But as you, I'm afraid that our tour will end against Portugal - while I think that we were better against Poland, because against Croatia, nothing worked.
Nevertheless, the performance against Poland won't be enough for Portugal, that's quite sure, I guess.

Okay, we play in Vienna against Turkey in quarterfinals.

So, it's third battle of Vienna [:D]

All we need is Jan Sobieski & Holy League and we're golden. [;)]

Well, victory against Austria as expected... but with our team playing this way, Portugal will be the end - and maybe a bitter one!

Bitter it would be if we lose as favourites. But since we are the underdogs (or Underducks as Rainer Callmund said it before the Cahmpions Final with Leverkusen :D ) I don`t see it as bitter. Everyone expects us to lose except for the greatest optimist.

Bah! Italy managed to get through [:(]
But seing the poor games Germany has played so far, my money is on Germany to win the whole thing. If they start out poorly they will win in the end!
Have to admit to not being that interested with England not in the tournament, all that matters now is that (1) Italy,(2) Spain or (3) Portugal wins!! Why you ask?

1) What did they ever bring to football exept a new class in the Oscar awards?
2) Never liked them, no idea why, might be for snatching away MacManaman and Owen back in the days...
3) Ronaldo... Can't stand him. Not one bit.
