Also note that I've always been really slow with my first turn. I think I try to do much more than the typical JFB on turn one. Much of what I do can easily be done later in that month with no real negative effect on the game.

Definitely a bit premature. [:D] Years ago, when I was getting a handle on WitP, Mogami sent me one of his first turns. I never really was able to get a good handle on it. I think it would be same case here. Just too much info to wrap one's brain around. I take it in small chunks and let it go when I'm done. I try not to make changes because there are times when I look back and can't for the life of me figure out why I did a certain thing. All by itself, one thing doesn't make sense, but it does when looked at in conjunction with the rest of that facet. The problem is that the rest of that particular event may include a dozen or more TFs scattered around the map. Try finding them all. [:D]
Also, remember that I'm not at all experienced with AE. I bought it on day 1 and have yet to send a turn in anger. [:D]
Sounds like you could use a project manager to keep track of all those little TF's! [:D]

Is this what you grognards use for keeping track of your TF's? I have needed something and so I downloaded this program. So far it looks good.
Do you keep tasking out of the game to this data and then back? [&:] Or run two PC's?

Larry - that post was a joke (hence the laughing smiley!). But, seriously, you could use a program like that for helping to organize larger operations. That would help with getting various units ready and converging on time, etc. It's certainly more extra work so I wouldn't bother for everything nor for, say, all supply convoys.

I figured it was the program of choice for managing all those pesky tf's. [:)] I have read posts of guys using Excel, but that seems too elaborate. Oh well...
My problem is that with so many tf's, I forget what some of them were supposed to do.

... (I'm guessing you've thought of this)... why don't you name the TF after what their mission is ??

Yeah I do that too, but some of the names are not really long enough for the info I would like to store. Even though 25 characters are allowed. That works for most but not all of what I want to store. Maybe I'm too old to play this game? [:D] [&:]

No, it's not. It's slightly annoying, but not bad.

What are you saying Terminus, not having a patch is not just bad, it's perfectly catastrophic. In fact, if you don't send a team of programmers over to my house immediately to fix minor annoyances, the world will be destroyed in ways that even the writers of 2012 wouldn't dream of.

Oh dear, here we go again.
Listen up. We're in the process of finishing a new build, incorporating the public beta feedback.
No, I can't tell you when it'll be finished.
No, I can't tell you if this new build will be the official patch 2.
We're working on it, and getting closer every day. We're not procrastinating, or hanging on to things because we don't want to share our toys.
Once it's done to our satisfaction, you'll get what we have.

One simple reason no single person knows exactly when a patch will be done - is the development team controls the timeframe up until the point where they are done - then they had over the data, art and code to Matrix who then does the final release process. So in our case, Matrix does not know when the AE Team will be done (we don't either but at least we are the ones doing it!) then once we get done, we do not know when Matrix will be done (and they probably also don't - but at least they are doing it!).
At this point I'm 99% sure final patch 02 public release will be next week - but can't say for sure what day.

Thanks Joe, appreciate the update. That's all we really want, a reasonable response to our reasonsable questions...
