10 years later I'm going to check in and you guys are gonna still be posting back and forth. What's bad is that I will probably still be reading all this junk, Lord willing and the Creek don't rise.

..and you won't regret it. I think you will agree Steiner and Warspite are the funniest double act since the Bubonic Plague/AIDS.

I will still be posting on 1000 posts, Steiner, BPB or Vote threads in 10 years.

Hello Mr Orm sir - pleased to meet you. In answer to your question, it's really very simple; I think Mr W is a 24-carat t*****.

It's a good thing you two have found a home at Matrix, because both of you are certifiable. [:'(][;)]

Sabre1, that's a tad unfair, I may be mad but I'm not certifiable. If I had any friends you could ask them and they would tell you.

Anyway, plans for today:

Breakfast melted PB on toast

Finish Reading: Ambroses 1939 classic civil war book: Gone With The Brittle

Lunch: A nice PB sandwich

Aftenoon: I shall go into the garden and plant some PB - should be ripe for harvesting come September.

Dinner: Roast PB a la Mrs Warspite (she cooks a mean roast).

Evening: I shall continue to develop the computer game I am working on: Its set during the Great 7-Year Peanut Brittle War (1800-1820). It is based on Ambroses 1966 blockbuster: The Great 7-Year Peanut Brittle War (1800-1820). I am hoping Matrix will want to help me with this. I am sure they will, although come to think of it they have not responded to any of my 57 letters asking if they are interested....Damn post, so unreliable. Maybe I should use e-mail? Oh I know, why didnt I think of this before??!!.... Steiner, you live in America.... can you pop round and see Erik for me and ask him? Let me know what he says. Thanks - and tell him I am available to sign the contracts anytime.

Busy day ahead - must get started, where's my jar of PB?........

As the intrepid Butt-head, of Beavis and Butt-head fame, would say...uuuhhh...OKAY!

Sabre1, I, like warspite1, have imagined what my friends might say(if I had any) and they tend to agree that I am only FACTICIOUS, whatever the hell that means.

Warpsite1 Mc'Collegue, Erik lives in Vermont, which has yet to accept postal delivery from the US Postal Service. There is also no electricity or running water there, so I must plan far ahead before I drive across this huge country to take your great sounding game idea to him.

Can't wait to play The Great 7-Year Peanut Brittle War(1800-1820)

Oh, let's call it TG7YPBW game.

Great - thanks for the offer of assistance. The game is coming on nicely. I need to write the rules for the game, play test it and then we should be all set. Oh yes, I almost forgot - I also still need to code the game and for that I need to learn how to write computer code. To that end I have booked myself on a computer studies course - I don't think it's a complicated subject - so I should be able to finish the game really soon.

Keep me posted on how your trip to Vermont is proceeding. Make sure you take your passport. Do they speak English there?

I can reassure you that learning to code is very easy. Coding is the simplest job in the IT field. The most you should do is buy COMPUTER PROGRAMMING FOR DUMMIES, by Stephen Ambrose(1958).

Of course - how could I have forgotten? I bought this today. Thought I would have trouble finding a copy but fortunately the original publishing house - CRA Publishing - is still alive and well and can be found in Oxford Street.

The book is brilliant - I just need to find a computer that was around in the 50's and then I can get cracking. Should have the game up and running in a few weeks [:)].

I need to decide in game scale for the war. I was thinking of an individual soldier level game, with the game played in real time. What do you think?

You can always count on me to steer you in a certain direction.

I think the individual soldier level game is brilliant. You can't pause the game, which means while u sleep craaaazy things might happen(think Airline Empires). I would like to see you add a feature that makes the player responsible for his character/soldier breathing. Every few seconds you must take some action to cause breathing. Yeah.

Oh, here is a photo of me in the 50's working on a computer that I still own. I will gladly donate it to the cause.
