I reach the river line west of Yaroslavl.

I intend to use it for defense this summer.

It seems 2 of 4 tank reserve units where attached to 51st and 16th armny. But from photo it seems these armies did not have any other combat units in the battles. Thus odd that they should activate?

I decide on a pocket and not lunging to Stalingrad or to the Don. Instead, I send in many tanks which where near Big V.

In all honesty I wouldn't worry about 30k Axis losses a week. More than that and you need to worry but 30k is bearable especially if you are taking Soviet manpower points and encircling soviet Armies like you are. You will get more and more Hiwis from the Manpower and captured troops to make up for your losses and you should be able to sustain 20-25k and have them replaced by your normal replacements and disabled returns.

From what I see on the map the Soviet Army is very weak, I see no way he can stop you from taking Moscow this summer and his southern flank is extremely weak so you can easily push all summer there. As well each army you encircle and destroy degrades his overall army experience level which makes the soviets even weaker despite having men in the units.
