Turn 45. Axis. May 9, 1941. China. End of Turn.

1. Japan makes a major push in the center and attempts to encircle the Chinese armies in/near Chengchow.
2. Attrition attacks in both the north and south also made.
3. Noticed a Chinese corps in the north (2 hexes NW of Peking) possibly up to some mischief.
4. SF transported from the south to Tientsin to bolster defenses there.

Turn 45. Axis. May 9, 1941. Greece. End of Turn.

1. Tough going as expected.
2. Did learn something valuable and that is an amphibious transport (Italian SF in Brindisi, Italy) can't move the turn that it's embarked.
3. Is that also true for the fast amphibious transports? Again, I might want to check out the rules for amphibious transports and invasions.

Turn 45. Axis. May 9, 1941. Finland. End of Turn.

1. Not much happened here except for the KM sinking a Soviet cruiser (I believe) and knocking a couple of steps of a Soviet sub.
2. Honestly I'm concerned that my opponent will make a major push into Finland and try to take them out early.
3. If he does, so be it ... my focus is further south.

Turn 45. Axis. May 9, 1941. North Africa. End of Turn.

1. I had planned to (attempt to) transport Guzzoni out.
2. However, I couldn't and I surmise the reason was because Tobruk is below supply level 5?
3. So, Guzzoni rushed to Benghazi, which is at supply level 5.
4. However, he was 1 hex short so he won't be able to get out next turn.
5. The turn after? Doesn't look good.

Actually, he can. Just swap the position of the garrison & the HQ. The HQ should then be able to bug out. Swapping is a very useful feature.

I saw a few screens ago that you are researching level 2 rockets for the Germans. I'm curious as to why you're doing that instead of another level of advanced fighters.

Ah ... because it's my first game and I don't know what I'm doing? [:(]

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. Combat Losses.

1. Here again I failed to successfully screen cap the opening messages, in addition to last turn's combat losses.
2. A bit frustrating but part of the game ... pun intended.
3. I do need to explore a bit and see if these messages are captured somewhere else so I don't have to rely on screen captures.
4. Also, I got an informative message that the Japanese could blockade US aid to the USSR through Vladivostok. I find that interesting given the fact that Japan and the US aren't at war. And also not at war with the Soviets.
5. I didn't want to agatize, as Japan, either the USA or USSR, no action taken to stop US Lend Lease to the Soviets through Vladivostok.

I wish to thank my trusted advisor Elessar2 for this tip. Not only was I able to successfully evacuate (i.e., transport) the Guzzoni HQ out of North Africa through Benghazi, but also the survivors of the Italian 11th army through Tobruk. Apparently Tobruk regain supply level 5.

Turn 47. Axis. June 6, 1941. The Balkans & North Africa. End of Turn.

1. Learned another limitation, or constraint, of amphibious transports this turn (the hard way).
2. Last turn I learned they can't move on the turn they're formed.
3. This turn I learned that a (normal) amphibious transport can't move very far (6 hexes of so).
4. So I decided to land the Italian Special Forces unit on the Western shore of Greece.
5. Guzzoni and the Italian 10th army evacuated from North Africa were disembarked through Tirana, Albania.
6. North Africa is now held by three garrisons (Tobruk, Benghazi, Tripoli).
