I've decided to end the turn here. For those of you who want to push some units around, or watch what the Soviets do in their turn, or whatever, I've posted my save game file ( zipped up ) here below. Just load the game and make the computer player the Soviets and they will launch their turn.

It's a new turn and I've re-deployed all the active aircraft to new better positions and now I'm moving all the LCU's and I've come to the 5
7th Engineers of the 6th Panzer Division and they saw that
Jakapils was unoccupied and walked into town and then repaired the bridge so now we have an intact crossing over the Nieman River besides the
Riga crossing. It's a start.

Hey there MonkeyBrain dude:
I will play TOAW 4 some more and make a report to you.
Would you do us the honor of reading your adventures in an AAR? That would be really cool.

Yeah Larry, once I setup new computer I will do an Directive 21 AAR in Bloodstar style

My AAR of 1992 What If World War III was played at NATO HQ in Bruessel.
We are developing TOAW Proton Blue Advanced 2.0 - that is AI Wargame worth 2 Billion dollars - but NATO needs a little help to defeat Putin

Third Reich 1942-1945 + looks like really cool scenario - I plan to do an AAR on this.
Any other interesting scenario in indy TOAW development circle?
Matrix Games could make an Competition and winner would get 1% of TOAW 5 sales - that would be really cool move one behalf of Matrix Games - but we will stirr interest for OUR game enormously. It is not all about money. Some scenario dedigners deserve a little more apprecitiation for their work.

Sounds good. You're getting a new computer? Laptop or desktop? It's been so long since I bought a new computer I don't know what the prices are now.

I'm sneaking up on
Minsk and I'd like to surround it before I start seriously killing units. I'm not after the objective, although that's important too, but rather I'm after the Soviet units themselves. The more of those I destroy the weaker the Soviet army gets. And that's a good thing.

Okie dokie, I've moved everybody and I'm ready to pull the trigger. First I think I'll do another zoom out to see where everybody is.

I think that I will get some cool laptop for around 800 euros here in Dublin, we will see....
Then I will write Directive 21 AAR - I like this scenario very much. I am playing 4.6 version.
I know that there are some newer versions floating around but heh - I think that changes are pretty minor.
Is 5.0 latest not modded version by Steve Sill and Rick Koesler (credits goes where is due).

This is where everybody is right now. I've managed to get started moving NE toward
Pskov, my next goal. The peninsula to the NW of
Riga is being cleared of enemy as we speak. From what I remember from previous games there's not many Soviet units up there and I may have found them all already. I've captured an intact crossing at
Jekavpils but the bridge is broken at
Daugavpils and I need to repair it ASAP. I'm sticking to the roads and rails for the most part and I'm running into more and more Soviet units the closer I get to
Minsk. I've run into a lot of resistance down south and the advance has slowed to a crawl down there. The Romanians have plugged all the river crossings but all the Soviets on the west side have already escaped to the west side. The Romanians are going to make probing attacks but not much is expected from it. Most of the handful of Soviet aircraft are too far east for me to reach with my aircraft but there are a couple that are still in range.

The version of D21 that I'm playing right now for this AAR has been modified by me by giving all the Corps HQ units some RR engineers so they can repair the rail. It's a much different result than the vanilla version in that the Axis never has to suffer for supply, for the most part.

Ok, I will try it.... one day.
Last piece of advice: don't overextend yourself, watch the losses, TOAW is more art of preserving forces and dealing maximum damage.
Back to WITE2 for now - TOAW will have to wait - I am a little burned by barrages so many rounds haha but arty have effect in winter believe me
