Hmm, I thought things had been too quiet, considering how little damage I've inflicted on the American battlefleet.

Hmm... Anyhoo, our ASW group hunting the Dutch sub K-I at Tawi Tawi reported three solid hits today. Of course, that probably means it's taken about 4 points of system damage![:D]

The K-I showed itself to still have a bit of a sting in its tail today, firing a couple of torpedoes at one of our destroyers. Fortunately, they failed to detonate. Unfortunately, the ensuing depth charge attack was equally unsuccessful.

This is the interesting paradox about WPO. Because the air recon is non-existent, it can appear for loooooooong periods of time as though absolutely nothing is happening, even though I know that things are happening on my side, and am quite confident that the same goes for Bill.

The night sky east of Batavia lit up with explosions at 2AM this morning, as the British steamer Empire Impala was struck by FOUR 45cm torpedoes fired by an Imperial submarine in a daring surface attack. Needless to say, there wasn't much left of the enemy ship afterwards.

Elsewhere, Imperial battleships bombarded the harbour of Hong Kong, scoring hits on a few Allied ships to cowardly too come out and meet their fate in battle, including the American monitor Monadnock and the British destroyer Rapid.

As nothing is going on some musings. In WPO you really need to try and second guess your opponent as to where he is going next. If you don't the likelihood is that you won't get help there quick enough. Some targets are more obvious than others but not givens.

For my part I am sure the Japanes ehaven't finished their expansion yet and I have nailed my colours to the mast as to where he will show up next - we'll see.
