average pilot experience...not bad considering i have TONS of pilots well above 70 exp

Oh no, not another vacation/holiday!  Tie rader down and don't talk to your girfriend for a week or two.  I want to see what's gonna happen at Bathhurst Island over the next few days.  If I was a betting man, I'd bet that rader will have the KB somewhere in the vicinity - perhaps Babeldoab?  So the poo will be hitting the propellor soon, me thinks.

not sure where I last saw this picture, might even have been this forum - but I suggest you better equip your CVs with the following fighter to ensure success in the DEI!

I recently downloaded and installed the beta. A lot of changes are self explanatory and others don't require a lot of reseach to get a description of what the change is. However, I notice now that there are usually lower case letters (a or c) following a HQ unit designation. Does anyone know what the a or c mean when associated with the HQ?

A suggestion. Don't be afraid to advance in the face of KB in a theater where your own carriers are present. Remain more circumspect (how you like that one, Dan?) where you are trying to advance without CV cover.

Yep, you just reach a point where your carriers are so strong that it really does not matter if there is a lot of LBA around. You just have to force the issue. In scen#2 KB gets a lot more goodies. But asided from the big six, Japanese carriers are pretty small and vulnerable. He might be able to throw up enough aircraft in the air to match you in round one but given equal amounts of damage, he will have more ships out of action in round two. Hiyo, Junyo, Hiryu, Soryu, and all of the Unryu class carriers won't stand too much damage.

Should start moving from Perth within the next 4 days...i still need to load some eng units... so we'll get there by the 25/30 of march

And on a similar note, id you sense enemy carriers in the area, what percentage of your fighters will be on CAP? at what altitude?

During the approach travel i'm keeping 30% CAP and 10 rest, while when we'll be close to the danger area i'll set 50% and 10% rest

About the altitudes, i keep this formation:

10% at 8k
15% at 15k
15% at 18k
30% at 22k
25% at 25k
5% at 32k

I'll have also 30 night fighters between 6 and 13k feet at 70%CAP

I've lost so many ships at PH during the first week of war...and then during the "RN worst day" during the failed operation against Scoodra...for the rest it was a more or less equal game in terms of losses...

Ahhh Yes the Cat's ..lots and lot's of drones .. very difficult to get them to hit .. but . combine enough transport mines, drones, and suicide shuttles and one can take down a Klingon BB ..[Tournament Scenarario at Orgins in 1984 ..]

Then we bombed Chiuseul Bay twice...no opposition found...

Start sending subs to Babeldoab and other large ports in the SRA to see what type of ASW response you get. That may help you identify where his fleet is at.

I had till last week 4 subs operating between Menado and Babeldoab...They got targetted every day by Helens, Betties and "E Class" ASW TFs...resulting in a series of damages that forced the 4 of them to limp back to Sydney to repair...
No joy in finding where his Combined Fleet is right now...

Thanksgiving Day in Canada is in early October IIRC.

Ok guys, i have a big question for you...it has puzzled me since the beginning of this game...

Every time i run a replay turn i get in the SAVE folder 2 different combat reports. The one with date and another one without date.

As you can see from the following attachments, these reports are often very different.... which one i have to believe????
