The unit is basically 100% filled out (or really close), and I think they are not in any malarial zone. Of course, they were a ways back and might simply have not recovered while I failed to notice.

If I remember correctly, by that time she was semi-retired since her elevators only moved half as fast as the other fleet carriers so she was used for training on the West Coast.

I just watched Darchinifel's video on Sara (on YouTube). I forget the date but she became a training carrier at some point prior to war's end.

• Near Paoshan, our two units in the mountains will enter the road just NW of Tsuyung tomorrow. Our (large) reinforcement unit will also cross the river to the NW of that position (2 hexes NW of Tsuyung) into our bridgehead there. The following day the bridgehead will begin assaults to break out.

• Positioning of ground forces for the Ryukyu Islands invasions goes very well. The next phase is to get the command HQs onto Daito Shoto to support Naha, Naga, and Amami Oshima. Guys, this is the first game where I used AE at-sea replenishment. It looks like they might be replenishing aircraft in the air groups (which I did not expect) in addition to the other things they do. Is that what's happening?

AEs do not replace devices, so I suspect there is a replenishment air unit in range of the carriers and it flew in some of its aircraft. That's hard coded to the 'R' squadron type, they don't have to be on a CVE.

I'm pretty sure I don't have any in range. I'll look this coming turn. I should also be able to test with one carrier TF where one squadron is down a few aircraft. Next turn the AE replenishment TF will be in hex and I'll do the experiment.

• The tactical air support at Johore Bharu will make strikes tomorrow and the light cruisers will bombard tonight. I will consider it very good luck to avert a further disaster. The battleships are on the way back, and the RN heavy cruisers will pull back from Cam Ranh Bay where they were standing by to support those operations. Some USMC MB and AB which just shipped to Mindanao is moving to Johore Bharu to add their support.

• Consider the situation if the Empire knew that we had more units coming which would also be required to break themselves in a shock attack, and the Empire accordingly had waited until the following day to launch the counterattack.

• Disruption is high in the artillery units, devastatingly high in all other units.

• 1,348 AV at Singapore. Another Bde with 123 AV arrives on the scene of disaster tomorrow. We will find out if we now have a proper lodgment. My guess is the high casualties the Empire's forces suffered in their attack on the bridgehead has saved the day by allowing us the needed ratio.

• The 29th Chinese Corps crossed without air support; doh! They will have lots of air support tomorrow as they recover their senses. The IJA 14th Division was not seen approaching and arrived from a direction other than Mengtze, as they were not present there in battle on March 04. We are lucky with few squads destroyed, The 29th has been receiving daily airlift for quite some time so should be able to repair squads handily as soon as recovered.

• The other units following in the wake of the 29th are a few weeks out.

• The 26th Aus Bde at Mengtze is facing 3 units with 9,200 troops, 105 guns, and 13 AFV. Considering the units they faced in combat there on March 04, we know the 32nd JNAF AF Unit and 19th JNAF AF Unit are now to the NW, so it seems 2 out 4 of the following are present. The 26th is in great shape and has full supply, so they will attack tomorrow.

• Operations continue at Daito Shoto: construction, offloading supplies, loading troops. LBA air support will be present in two days.

• The 29th Chinese Corps, NW of Mengtze, is recovering and has split into /A/B/C to speed the process. Heavy air strikes against the opposition is helping to make a counterattack less practical.

• The 20th Australian Brigade, sporting Morale 41, will march into Mengtze to aid the assault there. There is some risk in this because the 3 units just retreated to the SE are once again marching to the 20th Australian Brigade's current position. If they achieve that before Mengtze is taken and the enemy expelled, then our two Aus Brigades will be cut off. Air strikes on those 3 units will continue and other forces being brought up will be sent in.

• 26th Australian Brigade will recover (still in pretty good shape) and await the 20th Australian Brigade.

• The next assault from the bridgehead near Paoshan will be in about 6 or 7 days. We are sending in another large unit, but due to the stacking limitations (20,000, which we are already exceeding) the units in place now will attack the day the new unit arrives and the new unit will attack the following day.

• 44 LI hits at Hong Kong, now 18(203).

• 33 LI hits at Chungking, now 106(75).
