Here's a Downy Woodpecker. You can tell by the red spot on the back of it's head that it is a male. I recently saw some Hairy Woodpeckers at that same feeder. They look almost identical to Downys but are about twice the size.

Here's a female and a male House Finch. The redhead is the male.

That's what happens without CAP.
That would be the crows. I hear them every day but rarely see them.

When West Nile Virus first hit, I went a few years without seeing or hearing any crows. They are vile but highly intelligent birds. I'm glad to have them back. Blue Jays were also highly vulnerable to West Nile, and they were gone for a while too. They're back, I put out peanuts in the shell for them.

An awful lot of folks don't know stuff because they didn git a proper edication. If any of those folks are here in the forum, I just want to express to them Newton's third law of thermodynamics. It is as follows: Ah wont wot ah wont 'cause ah wont it!
