Honestly, the allies overlook the German u-boat threat present in Cape St. Vincent. They opt for no combat, but the Germans opt to try to initiate.

Contact! Well, both sides it's the allies making contact and getting a surprise advantage, thus saving the allied CPs.

The allied attempt to bring the war directly to the citizens of Berlin is ineffective. It appears that the allied bombers dropped surrender leaflets instead of bombs.

Germany is out of oil. The only oil available to them are what they can access from what the Italians still have in the Middle East.
