Thank you very much. Here's a shot of the Leningrad area. The ice has melted and the battle for Leningrad has begun in earnest. There's been massive losses on the Soviet side and we're going to have to truck in a lot more units to secure the area.

The Germans have made major progress near Leningrad. The on slaught has decimated the Soviet ranks. Are the Germans unstoppable? We shall see.

The Soviets blasted a hole in the Finnish front lines and are in the process of attempting to land some troops behind the front lines and it looks like the Finns might have to pull back again to fix the situation. Maybe.......we'll see what Karri does with this.

The Soviet counterattacks were unsuccessful in driving back the Axis tank unit and so the Germans have made a good bridghead into the Soviet lines and will no doubt keep driving toward Leningrad. I've shipped ( by rail ) a bunch more divisions to help out but it looks like they might be good for nothing if the Germans are as successful as they have been in the recent past.

Larry - I downloaded your turn 70, but am wary of posting any comments based on looking at it for fear of giving away your operational details (i.e. - aren't you afraid that the Germans will attack X since it is devoid of troops sorts of comments). I blew some holes in the Axis lines in the deep south but it's nothing that Karri can't fix

Here's some of the Soviet losses up to and including the combat in turn 71:

Karri is making some serious progress against my Leningrad lines. Some more of that and he'll have Leningrad soon.

On another note, I just found a panzergrenadier regiment on full supply bu only 30% strenght...meaning that the attrition battle is starting to take a good toll on my srenght. The destruction and reconstruction of the german units in Lapland is draining a lot of the Heavy Rifle Squads.

Consider the Fortified line at Lenn, it really helps, like a 8 times factor on your troops, PLUS you get those nifty shore guns that can pummel anything within range... perhaps start building entrenchements to the east of them
