That all certainly makes sense. I'm glad H & B have to make the decisions, not me [;)]

In my current 1.011 1942 game against the Axis AI the Russians can't upgrade the AT-Tech level one, even though it has been researched, and lots of money is avaiable.

For the issue of flying strike missions from bad weather hexes, we took this to be a bug and not a feature and have corrected this for the next build, is everyone ok with this?
I consider this is ok given I consider Air unit as an abstraction of several squadrons now located at the same place. This is Strategy Command not Excel in the East after all.

Hi Claus
Can you remember what unit types are unable to upgrade?
Thanks
Bill

Hi Bill.
My bad. I was still in SC 2 / GC mode and wanted to install AT tech to armies and corps, where in SC3 only AT units are allowed to install AT techs.
Sorry for the false alert.

I just installed Version 11 and applied the hotfix. I started the Citadel scenario to see what it looks like. Screens in purchase etc. look much nicer with the choice of colors.
I am not sure if this is a bug, but I am now seeing for the first time during the AI processing phase popup screens that appear for a fraction of a second and then disappear before I can read them, before I have time to click to dismiss them. They appear as a large tan rectangle but I cant read the content. If these are legit info this is very bad as I am missing information. If they are just a graphical glitch its an annoyance.

I think that this has been reported, but I noticed that in the 1941 campaign, my raiding UK Strategic Bomber based in Norwich wasn't getting any experience. The HQ that supported it wasn't getting any experience either.

Can't seem to get scripts to fire with any regularity. They seem to popup or not popup at random.
I've emptied my trash and even deleted all but the scripts I'm working on. Is there somewhere else besides the trash that old scripts could be hiding?
Here's an example in "Popups"
{
#NAME= WWIII1946 Start Message What If
#POPUP= World War Three 1946
#IMAGE= WWIII_begins.png
#SOUND= teletype_1.ogg, teletype_2.ogg
#FLAG= 1
#TYPE= 0
#AI= 4
#LEVEL= 0
#GV= 1[1,100]
#LINK= 0[0]
#COUNTRY_ID= 0
#TRIGGER= 100
#PRIVATE= 0
#DISPLAY_ORDER= 1
#DISPLAY_TURN= 1
#DISPLAY_STYLE= 0
#DATE= 1946/04/01
; Moscow is in Axis hands
#ALIGNMENT_POSITION= 221,65 [1]
; 1st Line - USSR politically aligned with Axis and not surrendered
#VARIABLE_CONDITION= 116 [1] [100] [0]
#CONDITION_POSITION= 0,0 [0,0] [0,0] [0] [0]
}

I am only a rookie, but maybe your 'AI' setting should be '0'. Your 'Variable Condition' indicates that the USSR is 'surrendered', I don't know if it is or isn't.
I sometimes don't see messages that I am expecting, but I generally play with the messages turned off, so I figure that is why [:D]
Note to Hubert - In the Pop Up script there is no Usage explanation for the 'Private' setting.

Hi Harry
That one should always fire providing the USSR is Axis and fully mobilized AND (and this might be the issue) because #AI = 4 it will only appear in certain games.
#AI4 = Event fires whenever all fields are satisfied, for AI and Multiplayer games only, and only on the Allied AI or on the Axis Multiplayer turns

There is a bug when showing the amount of mpps inflicted on your enemy if the units destroyed/damaged are in transports.
In the images below you can see I sunk 3 US transports containing a HQ, a corps and an army, those were the first US casualties of the game, nonetheless the mpps graph shows no damage:
I'll send you a save Hubert.

In hotseat games if you end your turn, if you have previously set a password and so has the other player, if you press cancel instead of entering the password for your opponent the game crashes, imo it should open a window for saving and continuing later.

I was working on Malta and monitoring the UK's National Morale Level, expecting a juicy drop. But when the Axis captured Malta, the UK NM only went down 1% [:(]
Maybe something else offset it, but I thought I would mention it.

v1.11a Human Axis against Computer Allies, Intermediate, no bonuses.
This game I went for Russia first, in 1940 right after Poland. It didn't work out too well and its been a long attritional type struggle. I never attacked BeNeLux nor France. When the USA entered they deployed to France. Italy took over the Mediterranean with no help from Germany due to fatal computer blunders when the Allies were advancing onto Tripoli and I was able to pick off one unit at a time. The UK nor USA ever sent any units to N.Africa or the Middle East.
On the West Front there was only a battle of attrition along the Maginot/Siegfried lines, but I noticed that France's NM level dropped a little every turn. The reasons for the screen shot - highlighted in red, the French NM hits zero, and then France surrendered. I was nowhere near Paris, which I know isn't absolutely necessary for a surrender, but at this point in 1946 I don't think the morale drops and surrender were justified. Next, at the time of the French surrender the Germans were getting a little over 1,000 MPP's per turn, while the Italians were getting around 300. Highlighted in green, on the left is the turn that that France surrendered, on the right the turn after. It looks like Italy got all the Plunder from France. Maybe this is because Italy had captured Tunisia and Algeria ?

I know the above post shows an oddball situation, but the event chains for the most part worked out ok, or within reason. One thing was a little odd - that Turkey joined the Allies
. At the time the Axis were deep in Russia, Moscow had fallen as well as Sevastopol and Rostov; Bulgaria and Greece were Axis, as well as Syria and Iraq; and not one Allied unit was in the Middle East. I don't know if it's at all possible to script, but it seems like Turkey would not have joined the Allies in such a situation [although from a game play standpoint, it threw a nice curve at the Axis].
Only one thing was out of place, the below DE. I guess it was triggered by France falling ? If so, maybe it should instead be triggered by Italy entering ? Or maybe remove the reference to 'June 1942', as that is the only thing that is really wrong in this sequence of events.
