Red?? How about a B-side set of Finals as well as the wild card?
It'll keep more of the players in the game and there is still pride in winning the B-event. It shouldn't be much more work to administer. Same single knock out as in the A side., but it gives the players with two losses a reason to gone on.

I think that's a great idea. New players don't really have a chance against experienced players, but they can still be the best among their peers.

One of those who get 1/3 status in the preliminaries, will proceed to Round 4. The idea was that preliminary competition would give a chance to everybody to play at least 3 games. We should have a pretty good set of people starting Round 4. Since this is the World Cup, I'd rather keep it to its purpose of determening the player with best experience and luck. If anybody wants to start another championship like Junior World Cup etc., feel free to do so.

Anyone that has been or will be eliminated from continuing on to the play-off s of the WC03 is invited to compete in a single knockout to determine the "BEST of The Worst":)
There will be a formations limt in this play-off. So be prepared to buy units in complete companies. Anyone interested? See the thread in Oppponents Wanted.

According to my list M4 Jess and Belisarius are the only ones left yet to finish R2. So in case they don't call in, I will play both of you guys, willy and Ironfist, for no credit to me, I'm still waiting for Jim Lindquist in our R3, he's having a hardware problem.

And to think, a 100 point conscript Company doing screening could have turned the tide of battle. Ahh Zhukov, why do we not listen^) I am 1/3 and out i guess.
