I forgot to post the game so we are well into 1941 and and German panzers are having fun in Russia but summer is about to end and that should slow things down(I hope)
NA is under allied control.

Thanks all. Rannug61 ranks Nº4 with 68.42% 19.59%. Very good player, I will do my best to unbalance him, but the odds are against me.

No attack on the US this time, so axis victory came faster. Fafnir No 1 and there is no No 2 since Sugar is "retired"

Hartman was surprised by the new supply rules, it's a shame because apart from these difficulties on the new rules the game was very balanced and interesting.

Alright, the Fafnir match is in its death throes. I think I can hold out until mid-1943, which is as good as anyone else has done. I declare a moral victory! That has to count for something...doesn't it?
Next victim! As usual, I will take the first response, even if it's Sugar. After playing back-to-back-to-back games against Rannug, Ktonos and Fafnir, it can't get any worse. Bring it on! Whomever has the stones... I will play either side..

All,
I destroyed my gaming computer so having to rebuild it from scratch while trying to recover all my data. This is slowing my responses.
I was asked by Ktonos if the SC3 Leagues tournament would be included in the ELO standings. I responded yes and I would consider how.
Here are my thoughts.
For Division 1 first win counts as a 1.2 win in ELO. A second win counts as 1.4. A third win counts as 1.5 and 1.5 after that. Loser counts as .8, .6, and .5 after that.
For Division 2 first win counts as a 1.1 win in ELO. A second win counts as 1.2. A third win counts as 1.5 and 1.5 after that. Loser counts as .9, .8, and .5 after that.
Please, comment on this scheme.

What's the thinking behind giving it additional weight, particularly variable additional weight? The league format groups similar strength players together and the fact that high-ELO players will be playing other high-ELO players will already result in the winners gaining more points and the losers losing less...

Personally I think just a flat rate multiplier for the league should count for the ELO ratings. Something like x1.3. This will encourage more players to enter for the next season. Anything else would be too complicated.
