• With additional forces bearing down on the Chungking plain our large Chinese Army 28th Corps will move to solidify the roadblock against the overwhelming numbers the enemy is pushing down the road from Tsuyung.

• Assault tomorrow on the 1st Raiding Regiment east of the road junction between Kweiyang and Tuyun.

• Hong Kong finally ran out of supplies for the defenders which is what caused such a precipitous collapse. Our troops will take advantage by continuing before submarines can land any ammo for the defenders.

• Hong Kong's port is only lightly damaged so a convoy with base forces will arrive tomorrow.

• A supply convoy from LA bound for Haiphong is being diverted to Hong Kong with 83,000 tons of supply. It should be there in about 3 days. Another, smaller supply convoy is leaving Manus now.

• Warships are rebasing from Kwangchowan to Hong Kong.

• TF Amoy will attack the unidentified unit which has caught up with it from the NW, hoping to retreat it back in that direction.

• Many supply convoys will still unload at Haiphong because the road/rail net to the interior of China from there is more developed than the route from Hong Kong, at least until more areas are liberated.

Wow! I had not even looked closely, pretty epic.

Both of those places have a substantial investment of Allied tanks in addition to all the anti-tank goodies build into the later Allied squads.

The same for Naha. That one will be coming up soon.

Well, they got HQ and command HQ. Command HQ is Christisin, Alex FP, who has good stats. The regular (corps) HQ is Slim, and his stats are outstanding. The thing is I don't remember seeing Leader(+) benefits. The troop stats are good but not great. I think another contributor is the Disruption malus on the enemy. With that, they were not as able to suppress the attackers.

I just guessing.

• The B-29's formerly targeted at Nago airbase made disparate runs on the Home Islands. We were lucky to only have a few ops losses. And actually did some significant base and supply damage to Chiba!

• We are dispatching sub to the area east and northeast of Tokyo as scouts to watch for the IJN fleet.

• Nago repairs proceeding, might be done after a week. If I remember what I saw yesterday the Repair Shipyard has begun repairs (I wasn't sure if the base had to be repaired before industries would repair).

• An Indian engineer unit from Paoshan will arrive at Tsuyung in 2 or 3 days to help finally repair the place, then work to increase increase daily land supply limit. Kunming, with a USA engineer unit from Mengtze on site, has already repaired and is building fortifications to increase the daily limit.

• Imperial Tsuyung withdrawal continues.

• The first of our blocking forces have reached the Tsuyung roadblock position.

• A lot more AV will enter the Chungking plain in (I think) 2 days. One large unit will move into Neikiang to upgrade squads. After that we will move forces into Chungking with enough strength to defend themselves. It will still be a week or two before enough additional forces arrive to begin liberating Chungking.

• Our small advance toward Chihkiang continues but awaits the arrival of larger forces still on the road before we will attack the enemy there.

• Enemy in Hong Kong is down to 3 units, 24,700 troops, 104 guns, 159 AFV, according to recon.

• TF Amoy continues moving but is on a secondary road.

• 4EB and fighters are basing in Hong Kong. The 4EB will target Pescadores airfield.

• After cleanup in Hong Kong is finished, most of the army there will head along the primary road for Kanhsien as part of a general drive toward Shanghai. Taking Kanhsien will give us a primary road supply route to Amoy, and Kanhsien is lightly defended (~10,000). The more substantial enemy forces in Kukong (~44,000) and Kweilin (~22,000) will have to withdraw to fight elsewhere or be cleaned up later without supply to aid their defense.

• Two destroyers are the first to make use of the liberated shipyard at Hong Kong.

At this point in the game, I normally use IJA tanks only as fire brigades and never really sit them in a hex to fight day after day as they are very brittle. That is if the Allies let me!

Text files you can zip up and attach the .zip. I have 7-zip installed so for me it's an easy cadence: delete the previous turn's .zip attachment from the SAVE folder, Right-Click on the combatreport.txt, select 7-zip, select add to combatreport.zip. Then I attach that.

Right! I think that quoting things like battle reports or other snippets of info help the eye to set things off from each other quickly and makes it more relaxed to read. At least for me.
