Woke culture at best. Netflix 'Jibaro' inspired by Folklores by Western Europe, Russia, İndia and N.Africa. Tells the designer. Perhaps main character from Porto Riko. Well Homeros move in his grave as well as Foça rocks in original 'Siren' story. It seems the designer influenced by the riches of these countries not the original story.

The Chosen.
Season #1 thru #3 are incredible. Season #4 just came out for free on Phone App or Laptop. Was in theaters back in February, watching again.

The Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh: Virgin born, sinless, prophesized since Genesis, etc.
The incredible series is just that. There's been many movies, with the glossy eyed alien type Son of God, but this series, has truly made Him the God-Man he is declared in a book you may or may not believe.

I love how the series brought forth the characters in belief, their failures and lack of faith. The two Marys. Peter's character which is relatable. Matthew. Then you have Nicodemus, the Romans, woman at the well, etc. The dude's cutting the hole in the roof. And yes, the enemies.

Season #4 is here. Now free. They always have been, by donations of individuals, no Hollywood. The plan is for total of 7 seasons. Then will there be a Paul series? Nobody has done a legit Revelation series nor movie. Maybe the powers to be are not allowed.

Never seen it before and it's seems well reviewed by critics and audiences alike, but it didn't do it for me.
Nicole Kidman was pretty hot, I thought. :P

I thought that she is still hot. Not necessarily feverish but not cold like Marilyn Monroe . . .

I wasn't talking about her temperature. I meant her sexual hotness. Like the (historically accurate) nose art on this Mustang  :

Agree.
Subjectivity identification of any sorts is offensive & does not belong anywhere in/out of the Milky Way Galaxy.
There's also anywhere from 32 to 144 genders and that number could be growing if science finds the truth.

House of the Dragon series 2 starts in a couple of days. Really looking forward to this.

I am re-watching series 1 to remind myself what the hell went on. The series was excellent.

Let's hope series 2 is as good as the first.

Recently saw Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare at the theaters. Respectable, but won't be a classic. So much over the top action, it's almost dizzying. More entertaining, for Generation X-Box. Considering how hard it is to make a good 120 minute movie, I'll say it's well done. War movies have evolved. Rating: 7 out of 10.

*** This is my opinion, it's a movie review, relax ***

Want a better (realistic) war movie, same director Guy Ritchie's The Covenant is a must see. This is a classic, have watched in theater on release, maybe year ago. Loved it. This is a classic. The story is excellent, action is real, update to date to what happened in Afghanistan due to current events. Rating: 9.5 out of 10.

First episode watched - excellent start to the second series. Anyone who enjoyed GoT should give this a go.

I understand a third series has been agreed. I hope the plan is to take the story all the way to the fall of the mad king.

Lincoln - A House Divided (PBS)

Superb 6 parter looking at Abraham Lincoln warts an’ all.

A truly great man and as someone on the show said - he was great not because he was perfect, but because he was imperfect. One can only wonder what may have happened had he been given the chance to complete his second term.

I like historical movies, stories of historical figures and events can be inspiring, showcasing examples of courage, resilience, and innovation. I found Third reich movies on the historical-truth and I watched The Heart of the Queen (1940). It shows German version of Mary Queen of Scott's eventful reign and death focuses on her emotional perception rather lyrically. Analyzing the accuracy and interpretation of historical events in movies can enhance critical thinking and analytical skills.

Betrayal (movie) 2023 ---

German Officer dude getting plenty of work on Eastern Front hears about his wife & daughter getting bombed in Netherlands. Officer gets wounded, sent back home. Given orders for a defensive stance as Western Allies approach. He finds Jews and Civilians hiding. Since it's a modern movie, his family dead, becomes a good guy.

Gotta read the movie, if you want English.
Simple enough movie, decent.

I watched it last night. It's ludicrous, ahistorical and good fun. Like a live action Commando comic but hyper-violent. It's loosely based on this...

I saw it on Amazon Prime, so you may be able to too. Switch your brain off for a couple of hours and enjoy a WW2 romp.

In about 15 hours I'll be watching the Major League Cricket final between the Washington Freedom and San Francisco Unicorns. I watched some highlights of the first season last year and was surprised at the standard. It's even better this year. There's a sprinkling of local players but most of players are serious international talent, with plenty of Aussies, Kiwis, South Africans and South Asians. The crowds have been good, considering it's in the US, but it's mainly for a global TV audience.

Early on I decided to support Washington as they have several Australian stars I really like and they have proved a powerful side. San Francisco are quality too and earned their place in the final with a hard fought win against Texas, in which one of the better catches I've seen was taken (see below). The final will be at 19:30 CDT. Check local guides :P

I discovered a couple of obscure WW II films I'd missed. First is "Conspiracy":

Conspiracy is a 2001 made-for-television drama film that dramatises the 1942 Wannsee Conference. Using the authentic script taken from the only surviving transcript recorded during the meeting, the film delves into the psychology of Nazi officials involved in the "Final Solution of the Jewish question" during World War II.

Its ensemble cast includes Kenneth Branagh (Reinhard Heydrich), Stanley Tucci (Adolf Eichmann), Colin Firth and David Threlfall. Branagh won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor, and Tucci was awarded a Golden Globe Award for his supporting role.

The second one is "The Exception".

The Exception is a 2016 romantic war film directed by David Leveaux (in his directorial debut) and written by Simon Burke, based on Alan Judd's 2003 novel The Kaiser's Last Kiss. The film stars Jai Courtney, Lily James, Janet McTeer, and Christopher Plummer. The plot is a fictionalized account of the life of exiled Kaiser Wilhelm II (Plummer). Film is set in 1940 contemporary with the German invasion of Holland.

Noteworthy (as far as I'm concerned) for Lily James getting out of her clothes.

Went to the theater with my movie buddy.
Saw Longlegs.
Reviews were great, which is fake news.
I just turned in my Nick Cage card.
Valley Girl, The Rock, to this crap???

It's 0 outta 10.

Plot is 0
Characters are 0.
Repeat, all the characters are a 0.

That's 5 movies in row at theater that are 0.

If you liked this movie, you might want to seek mental health and/or the Higher Power's only begotten Son.
