Not a huge deal, but the Bases.csv truncates all the HQ names: For example, "4th Fleet" shows up as "4th" and "Southern Army" appears as "Southern". Same thing happens to every HQ in that file.

Suggestion please?
Under the Industry section in the Global tab there is a chart button that gives you the option to look at Production and Resource trends. For Production there are check boxes for the various things produced. Can the same thing be done with the Resources?
Thanks!

Oops... I'll take a look.
EDIT: Just looked and there is no problem I can see. For example:
Code: Select all
"Spokane","Airfield","1","Continental US","215,48","644","679","0 (0)","","4 (7)","","0","","8","0 (0)","50 (0)","0","0","1626 (unlim)","West Coast","800 (100)","8 (1)","525"
The West Coast is in quotes, so it should be imported as a single cell.

You wouldn't think it would matter, but just to be sure I loaded an Allied Save Game, and yes, those HQs don't truncate. But Japan's do. Seems crazy, but there it is (running the latest version of Tracker in both cases)
Edit: It would be very much appreciated if "Mines" was added to the Bases.csv report.

That's how they're entered in the database. For "4th Fleet", the name is "4th", while "Fleet" is in the suffix field.
Allied HQ names are generally entered only in the name field, with the suffix field blank.

One point for msieving1 -- that was exactly the issue. [:)]
I changed the Base panel to show the HQ full name (with suffix), so now it should show properly.

Two non-truncated points for you both! Much appreciated.

Suggestion:
How about a display of any non-base hexes where the player is over-stacked? Maybe it could just be an Alert item?

Interesting idea. The stacking limit for every hex is in the PWHEXE.DAT file, right?

Uh - I think that's the one. There is now a set of 3 pwhex type files. As I recollect it's in the "main" one. I inferred that by examining date/time stamps on the files, that being the only one that changed when stacking limits were introduced.

OK, had a peek in the AE folder and, yes, I believe that is the file.

I installed the patch 07 beta. When I try to read the new turn in Tracker I get a message "Error comparing bases - Unequal size", and the loading bar at the bottom of the screen freezes during "Compare Bases" part.

It means that either an additional base was added to the database or you're using the wrong pwsdll.dll file to read the save.

Problem solved! I copied the .dll file from the beta folder to the Tracker folder, as advised in the beta install notes.

After upgrading and copyng over the pwsdll.dll file I get a fatal error "AWT Event-0 java.lang.arrayindexoutof range error.."

I am assuming something has gone very wrong and resetting the database is the only out?

Is this just while loading a turn? If so, and everything else looks fine after loading the turn, you can ignore these errors (they come up because the tables are in the process of being modified, but the GUI still wants to display them).

It is while loading the turn ... but it is
fatal and Witptracker exits ... any suggestions for getting around this error ?

I'd need the complete error (all lines -- or at least the topmost 10 or so). You can send me a screen shot to

Hey guys,
Will Tracker run on the new version of Java yet?

Floyd and Damian,
Edited: ok - I found out Java 6 was not 32bit so I installed that. Now I get this error message:
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException:...
Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks.
