Union Inf. Flags with battle damage. From Cotton Jim's Flags I think.:

Illinois State flag, white variant:

General Fremont's Union flag:

Ohio State flag, maybe Arty. or Cav., perhaps some Inf.also. oHIo = low on the ends and HI in the middle.:

Wisconsin variant with 1848 in white letters:

Unusual Star Pattern Union National Flag. BTW, this is the flag that flew ovr Ft. Sumter:

CSA Cav. 1st National variants:

CSA Vicksburg Flag, 2nd national pattern. Supposedly Waul's Texas legion flew the one marked 'Vicksburg', but after their capture at Vicksburg and subseqeunt parole, Waul's Legion was dissolved with its members transferring to other units etc.:

CSA Parson's etc. Texas Cav. Perhaps some Texas Inf. may have used a variant of these. First one could also be from an Arty. unit captured at Ft. Semmes by Gen. Banks in 1863.:

CSA Cavalry, square Battle flag variant. Arty. could be similar in size and shape. These were used in Lee's ANV and in the AoT when available. Some Inf. got stuck with these smaller flags in the ANV I do believe.:
