Not really harmful, I just don't want to give away too much info about what I do or do not know at this point in the game.[8|]

Winter 1943 - Here is a tale of an unlucky U-boat commander whose name we will never know, but we mourn his crew. He sailed out to hunt for enemy transports, sailed around Britain without problems and close to his destination (France) he sighted a small convoy, lightly guarded. With his diesel tanks running low he went on the attack, fired all his topedo tubes and hit - NOTHING [:@]. To add insult to his shame the lonely escort threw depth charges and scored a direct hit right on top of the conning tower, blowing the iron coffing into pieces. Only a big film of oil that was spotted the day after by a long range reconnaicance plane told the U-boat command what must have happended...

Quiet on most fronts in Europe, exept in the Med, where WA fighters and CAG's are punished for invading Italian Air space (the Central Med that is). Germany chooses caution over madness and evades the Sibirian Hordes that amassed opposite the front lines in Russia.

While European newspapers explore the recent events in Asia/Pacific and its impact on the now global war news brakes that CAIRO HAS FALLEN. After more than a year of heavy fighting Axis troops march into the ruins of the city, close off the Suez channel and prepare to do some sightseeing around the Pyramids.

WA - Spring '43: The alliance is still playing a defensive game. Airstrikes against India net a decent haul. Our position in the Central Pacific is re-established, for now. The Japanese have landed in Australia, a move which can not be tolerated.[:@]

Summer 1943 - Air strikes over France are returned staight to London, where Axis bombers repeatedly hit factories. Unfortunately they hit the same factory over and over again, thus the actual damage is minimal[:(].

Axis troops in Cairo try to advance East but are repelled despite good odds. High command is forced to send more troops - why can't Rommel be satisfied with what he got and make the best out of it !?! Besides that the summer seems to be a quiet season in Europe, as all eyes are on the Pacific.
