Well the fritzs are still trying to tame the wild Scottish resistance, but will they get a stab in the back by the russian bear which is eager to fill his jaws with blood
Berlin still seems not to be aware of the red ordes that will save the free world [;)], see ss.
(Propaganda [:D][:D])
Reality is if I hold on another turn it will be a miracle [:@], Hopefully the Japanese are throwing themselves out of the frying pan and into the fire [:D], this would mean total war.

Germany Fall 1941
The deary battle of Scotland continues with inconclusive results. The Allies will be happy with this no doubt. Despite massive airpower and strength on the ground we can't send the Brits into the sea. In hindsight I should have fought a battle of attrition last turn to reduce his army, given that he doesn't have the industry yet to replace his units the way I can.
Hopefully this is the end of it, though. As the screenshot shows, the damage was about equal, but he has little left and only the factory in Canada and Scotland to draw upon. I should also have bombed the Scottish factory. Hindsight, hindsight.
In other news, our Southern Command noted a while ago that the defenses at Gibraltar had been stripped to help Scotland. With the aid of a few new transports a combined Italian-German Air-Land-Sea operation takes the fortress and effectively closes the Med. Yugoslavia also falls after nearly taking out Austria.
We watch the Russian WR with a wary eye.

Fall 1941:
Japan:
We unfortunately needed again to punish China for his repeated aggression from her troops against our peacefull army.
Our intelligence is telling us that numerous soldiers are waiting to sail to Scotland. We hope something can be done about this unfortunate situation soon. 7 December 1941 is coming... we wouldn't want to be late and have our name tainted by such infamy [:D]

A japanese attack seems inminent, Scotland has been reinforced again with a canadian infantry and three artilleries, plus some supplies for the winter [;)]
The navy guys did it again, an elite LF and an elite CAG sunk another iron coffin, the war against subs is the only one going reasonably well [:D].
If Scotland holds maybe the japs will cancel their plans, the ruskies are knocking at german door, will they withdraw from Britain to defend their borders or risk to lose eastern europe?

Winter 1942:
Japan:
Seems Germany is bogged down in Scotland. Terrific defense. From my Ally I gather than a full frontal attack had 20% chance on clearing the place so he decided to follow my ill advice to do waves attack. Always dangerous to give advice when you don't see first hand the situation.
Yamamoto decides to seize the day and give Hell to the Allies. The completion of new US carriers pushes us to make a decision and we launched our Plan Gold. We had to cancel Plan Silver to attack in Fall 1941 but as we had no plan ready for Spring 1942 we had no choice.
Singapore is first liberated by Veteran troops to gain the bonus for first attack on Frozen region. After that we are clear to lift the FOW around and strike at our targets. Burma and Sarawak are liberated as well, we close to the Indian frontier and our HVY Elite Bombers knocked out the 2 Indian factories. India is lightly defended and our West Army Group seems confident that India will fall in the Empire soon. This action reveals some Transport Line between India and... Australia. Quite surely to move troops for India's defense and avoiding the Italian Navy based in Ethiopia. We have a nice day sinking all those.
Manila is invaded by Veteran INF and the Light Fleet is sunk by our HVY Fleets. Celebes is liberated as well as Sumatra. Java is still holding but that Light Fleet won't go anywhere. Northern Australia is occupied and our action on Australia East Coast reveals only 2 INF for defense and 1 Fighter. Our Australia Army Group is as confident that all will be resolved very fast.
The Imperial Navy takes cares of all ships activity from Australia to the US West Coast. It will take times to reactivate any transports link in between those.
Well and Pearl Harbor you would ask??? our plan was all along to strike at Transports first and rebase in defense along Pearl and wait to see if those 2 Carriers on the West Coast would dare challenge us. To our dismay the 2 new US Carriers were build on the West Coast. 1 in the Southern Part with 4 CAGS and 2 Fighters in support. This is a bit too much even for Elite Japanese CAGS but then Santa Claus gives us one lonely Carrier totally undefended in the Northern part. We do send 2 Elites CAGS to take it down with 100% certainty. Now it's 7 Carriers against 5. The bad part is that the Allies now had 3 Carriers ready on the West Coast. What will he do?
At last we send some Subs to clear the path to Panama.
Not bad an harvest as you'll see below. No other screenshot to avoid giving our positions. Next turn will be critical.

Germany Winter 1942
Sorry for the late post. The Germans are awash in frustration re Scotland. In hindsight I can totally see what to do, but it's too late now. A critical error was to leave the factory there untouched. I'm used to blitzing Scotland, if it's defended at all. Once Rafael committed to it I should have created an attrition strategy and ground him down.
Hard to say what the future holds for Germany now. The W.Allies are obviously weak, but they may recover fast. And the Russian bear looms.

After a devastating attack by the swine Japanese, december 7th will be remember as day of infamy [:D], hell of a well performed attack congrats Philippe, will try to get some revenge as the game goes on...
With the entry of the USA, Scotland was reinforced with very needed troops fresh from the US, airforce was also shiped, will the germans evacuate? or risk complete destruction?

The screenshot shows the situation in the Highlands before production.

Germany:
The Germans must admit defeat in the UK and retreat from the British Isles. Kudos to Rafael for holding on. Not to self: bomb the Scotland factory right away and don't expect the Allies to run for it.
Unfortunately in my rush I forgot to take screenshots. The Germans redeploy from the UK to the Russian border. As the Russian WR was right on the verge we launch a preemptive strike into E.Poland. The results are worse than the projected odds and possibly a grim harbinger of ugly times to come on the Russian Front.
I have taken London in three or four recent games and every time have found the cost to be not worth the effort. Even if you take the UK with minimal casualties, which is do-able if you time it right, you must plan to still launch a strong Barbarossa in 1941 or face a very tough Russian opponent. I'm starting to think that a slash and burn raid is better than a full occupation.
Anyway, with Gibraltar and Cairo secure and the WAllies very short on transports all eyes turn to the East.

Spring 1942:
Japan:
Our attention is definitely turned to our ally in Europe. While the Pacific is almost free of ennemy troops we can't say as much for Europe. Good luck.
After looking at our opportunities which are plenty for the moment we have to make a choice and decided to move inland China again. Changsa is liberated and the Chinese army is now double it's previous strength. 2 MIL [;)]
After fierce bombardments from our Air Force and Navy Eastern and Southern India are occupied. Most of our bombers were used for this so Java is still besieged as we don't want to see that Light Fleet move away.
Australia is slowly occupied and with India free of ennemy troops we should turn our full attention to it next season. [8D]
We finaly send an air strike against Pearl Harbor from our carriers. The West Coast is reinforced and planes are buzzing around.
Our subs seems to be more sturdy than the German model. 1 US Light Fleet damaged for one Sub last turn. No transports seen in the Pacific, where are they [&:]
Our Empire is growing nicely.

All of the current AARs are big fun........this one has had me riveted for weeks now. Hate to be an interloper, but I'd really like to see an SS of the Russian completed builds contrasted with what Germany currently has......this one still seems like it could go either way but if Germany gets crushed early even Polonthi's mighty Japanese will not be able to go it alone for long. Thanks guys for an awesome AAR!

Counterattack by RUS is not as smooth as expected. Poland remains under GER control when RUS has 54% to take the area.
