OK. I can't ignore this thread now, but that's OK. Everyone keep doing what I said in the previous post except you don't have to ignore the post. However, posting in the thread is not the same as ignoring the thread. Not ignoring the thread is OK. Posting in the thread is NOT OK.

I think we may have this safely under control now. This is that last post, however, I probably won't be able to ignore looking at the thread. We can still look at the thread. Just don't post any more after this post.

Clearly there are some who don't want to stop posting to this thread and there is nothing I can do to save them. However, for the rest of us, no one else respond except Terminus and then we'll be OK. No more posts after this one. This is my last post unless I see a need to post again in order to try to stop someone from posting to this thread, then that will be my last post, again, unless there is a need to post again which will only happen upon the event of another post which is not Terminus' post.

EDIT: I had to correct a typo, however, this does not count as a new post to this thread. I have effectively stopped posting to this thread myself.

One more EDIT: And I guess BigBadWolf will be responding regardless of what I say as well. Therefore everyone except Terminus and BigBadWolf, do your best to not post to this thread. I apologize for being authoritative in my first responses but I thought that might work. Obviously it didn't in the case of Terminus and BigBadWolf. Actually I should say, PLEASE do your best. This is an "opponents wanted" forum and we shouldn't be hijacking it. Again, this does not count as a new post.

Sorry BigBadWolf, had I known you were posting behind me then I wouldn't have edited behind you. So really I didn't do it on purpose. I don't think you are doing this for the forum. [:-] You obviously just want to post to this thread. That's OK. I thought I would try to help and keep the "opponents wanted" thread for people looking for opponents. Clearly no one pays any attention to me. Which is fine. However, I won't stand by and let people say things that aren't true about me. And since I can't back edit now that you have brought an issue of it I see only that I have to post in response.

But you're not here looking for an opponent, you are really just asking for a turn. So technically you are spamming. That is what I've been trying to prevent. It looks like I failed. I apologize everyone. I thought I could bring this under control but obviously I can't. I hope you forgive me. I was only doing what I hoped would be in the best interest of the forum.

HOwever, now that I think of it, WE ARE THE FORUM. Therefore if we want to post OT in an area then we should be able to I would think. However, it's probably sort of unfair to others who are looking for opponents if their threads get pushed to the bottom. HOWEVER, OTOH, if more people visit the opponents wanted forum because of this thread then there will be more chance of people finding opponents quicker and this thread may therefore help the opponents wanted forum.

HOwever, I don't think we should let the posting get too out of control. If we compile posts into big posts, incorporating all our thoughts for the moment into the big post instead of just brief posts, then things should stay manageable. So that is what I am going to try to do. I'm not the boss of everyone else so I'm not going to insist this time that everyone do as I do. I only encourage it.

Anyway that's just my opinion on what we ought to do with this new found Test thread. Others may have differing opinions.

Sorry to leave you hanging BigBadWolf. I had to run off and eat dinner but I did it as fast as I could so I could get back to this.

Anyway. You are right. I was being ridiculous. I apologize. I shouldn't have tried to intervene in this thread. I thought I was doing everyone a favor. Clearly it was a wrong intervention. I'm going to try to be a little less ridiculous. Although if I try to be completely straight faced while posting to this thread I will feel sort of foolish. So from here on out I'm most likely going to be semi-ridiculous.

OK. Clearly I've scarred everyone away from this thread. No one is posting anymore except me. I apologize for being overly ridiculous. Like I said in the post above I will most likely only be semi-ridiculous from now on. I'm sorry but I just can't post to one of these things with a completely straight face. Would some one please acknowledge that they accept my apology. I feel awful now.

EDIT: Actually I shouldn't say I feel awful because I don't want to make others feel responsible for something which actually is my fault and not theirs. So in a sense I don't feel awful even though I do.

EDIT 2: I mean to say that I do feel awful, but it's my own fault that I feel awful, though I'm not insinuating that anyone else SHOULD feel responsible. Clearly, when something is my fault.

Aw heck. I give up. Sorry guys. I was trying to be funny and I blew it. Is that why no one is posting? I would sincerely apologize for it but if I sincerely apologize then that would sort of be too serious and I think it would put others off.

At this point some of you are probably wishing I'd shut up. Since you ask I will shut up because I really would like someone to post here and make me feel like I didn't scare everyone away. If I shut up will someone post.
