This game is fixed to beat the over that I betcha a million people bet on. The +12 looks like it will hold up though for those that took NY and the points. :)

Sitting watching this Superbowl thingie in ol' Blighty. I don't mean to be rude, or anything, but was this sport invented as a cure for insomnia?

No, that is that thing called "soccer"

Frankly, I preferred watching "Puppy Bowl IV" over at the Animal Planet channel. Lots of action there... still waiting for the results of the "MVP" (Most Valuable Puppy) polling.

I'm pulling for the Fox Terrier myself though the Beagle has had some great tackles. [:D]

What a boring first half. Brady is playing like a pre school kiddie garten QB. He doesn't even look like he's excited about the game at all. Woulda been better if it had been Colts and Packers. ;)

Well Arena ball is right around the corner. Not so boring.

Giants WIN THE PENNANT GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT GIANTS WIN THE PENNANT....no...wait....that's another sport isn't it? lol Football is rigged I can't believe the GIANTS are superbowl champs and were a wild card team. I hate wild card teams getting into the playoffs they need to do away with wild card teams.

Wow...only got to see the second half, but who cares? I am quite happy the Giants won. And from what I saw...what Mensa reject devised New England's offensive game plan? Gee...Brady's getting killed...because you're TRYING TO THROW every friggin' down, morons! Oddly enough, it reminded me of the godawful Rams gameplan against New England when they pulled the huge upset over the Rams, who refused to run the ball.

sulla : Uhhh...the only time Steve Young was in a super Bowl, dude, he set a record with 6 TD passes. [:D]

At least soccer doesn'tstop every three seconds to watch people wandering about for the next 30! However, I admit it did get pretty exciting at the end.. always good to see the underdog win.

[X(] I quite agree. Look what the total points were when these 2 met in Week 17!

Anyway, my final prediction is New England wins 32-21. I don't think the Giants can both cover New England's receivers, AND still have enough to stop the Pats running game.

Hehe sucker! [:D]

As for the Cowboys I think that Romo is overated. He has a good O line and usually a fair amount of time but he still did not close. I just do not see him as a franchise QB.

As for the Patriots-Giants I think the Giants will pull it off. There is a huge amount of pressure on the Pats and I really do not think that Brady is the best QB in the NFL. He is very good, but not great. He just haa a lot of time this season and Randy Moss and Welker make him look great.

Giants 24 - Pats 20

So, if it's just his receivers, how do you explain all the previous seasons, putting up big numbers while throwing to 'all stars' like Reche Caldwell and David Givens? Is Brady the best ever? no, it's insanely premature when people start making comments like that. Is he the best in the game right NOW? He just might be.

Besides, you don't seem to mention how the decimated Giants secondary is going to COVER Moss and Welker. And, for me, that's the biggest reason that New England will win the game. New york has a good pass rush, but New England has a good offensive line, so they aren't going to be in Brady's face every snap like they were in Garcia's face every snap in the Tampa game. Also, the Pats have re-discovered their running game, so you can't just play pass D every down. I think it's going to be a closer game than the line indicates, probably something like 29-19.
Brady looked like a great quarterback. [:D] Here you go Arctic Blast.

Something for you to eat this week. Time to find a new bandwagon. [:)]

You STILL have not said how New York's defense is going to stop those receivers. I personally think just falling back on the "They cheated!" excuse is pretty lame, especially since they have been watched like hawks since they were busted in. what. week THREE? So, how do you explain all of their wins SINCE then?
It will be easy to stop them. The Giants will play with honor, skill and integrity. These are things the Patriots do not have.
Even if your claims were true about the Pats, your response here is pretty silly. One can look back through history and find where ina all manner of events your 3 traits you claim the Giants will use have in fact lost to a forc e with out those traits.
It worked this time. I believe honor, skill and integrity are traits that the US Marines as well as other armed forces around the world covet. I'll stick with them on this. [:)]

Other than on the last two drives, Brady and Manning both played it safe and were not spectacular.

I wonder why the MVP went to Manning when it was the Giants defense that did more to win the game.

It was a good game.  Defensive football is like watching a great pitched baseball game.

What a great ending. 87 yards to go against a team that hasn't lost all year. Must have a TD. 2 1/2 minutes left. Scorce and you're champs. Don't and you lose. It was all you could ask for.

A fantastic finsih if there ever was one!

If they can keep the momentum going into next year the Cowboys and Pack will have some serious work to do. Good game but aggrevating to watch from my perspective.

Even though I enjoy a good "soccer" game I can't stand all the diving going around. So no they dont stop every 3 seconds but, hey now, how are our wonderful advertisers supposed to let us view thier wonderful new product lines if they keep interrupting advertising hour with some cro-magnon sport?
