watercooling is a waste of money unless you are a super-geekoid who has to squeeze the last drop of power out of his system.
I too keep my clocks down because of heat, in the winter it's fine but not when the weather is nice.

If you want wdolson, the easiest and cheapes upgrade is more RAM for your PC. If you like the way it runs WitP now, then by all means you should be fine for AE.[:)]

I know for a fact that AE is fine on my machine. I'm one of the programmers on the project.

I joined the team just after the announcement, so my efforts have been small compared to many on the team.  The three programmers who have been working on the code long term are all excellent.  All of us are crossing the t's and dotting the i's right now.  Their excellent work makes fixing the little details here and there a lot easier.

And if you're using Vista... WHY? Why would you do that?

Well... because I like it [&:]
The only time I had a problem with my games, it was SH3, and that was codec-related...

Heck I'm testing AE on an iMac with 2gig of Ram while running Vista using Parallels...other than sound issues I have no problems with speed.

Kind words, Sir. But I must admit that I do cross the occasional "i" and dot a "t" now and again.
