A newbie question here: What happens when the Allied 4E bombers start hitting the home islands and racking up VP's for damaging industry?
(I know, I know, if you've done your job in the service of the Emperor you won an auto victory back on 1/1/43 or at the very least sunk so much of the Allied navies that getting 2:1 odds on points is impossible)

That's when it really comes in handy to have all those stockpiles of planes and engines. All the stockpiled stuff can't be bombed. Also, stockpiling oil and resources in
all of the places you have HI factories will ensure a supply (admittedly lower) of HI and supply. That's when you supplement with your stockpiled HI to keep your undamaged industry functioning.

Mike,
Thanks for the answer about the pilots. I particularly appreciate the additional info about the plus or minus nine as part of the rting. I had missed that.

Any time. Feel free to ask questions. There's usually someone around here who can answer them.

When those units come back, I put one trained pilot in and fill up the rest with untrained pilots. I put them on train and when the average reaches about 40, they go to China to get their experience up.
Pardon me for resurrecting an old thread, but I was curious about Mike's comment here. Why is it necessary to put one trained pilot in an otherwise untrained group? It does make sense -- an "ace" would help train rookies in RL. But in the game, I thought the group's Leader was the one who (through his Leadership attribute) governed experience increase.
Should I be putting one trained pilot in my untrained squadrons?
