Amazing. SP2 isn't out yet [;)]

I don't want to recklessly chime in to a thread on which I'm not involved, but. . . could the problem be tied to running Vista SP1 versus SP2?

I have Vista with SP2 installed, and I have no scrolling problems whatsoever.

(And as a general aside, I can't fathom why in 2008 anyone would run Vista without SP2 installed, it fixes like 90% of the problems you run into with Vista and compatibility issues-- at least it did for me!).

I don't have Vista and my scrolling isn't slow. It's just not smooth. Kinda jerky? I have XP with the newest SP and I have
1 Gig of ram....

Did adjusting your scroll speed setting in the preference screen help at all?

I think that the default speed is five. When I take it down to 4.5, it scrolls real slow....

That's odd, it should be the lower the number the faster the scroll. Try taking it down lower. Someone reported that they got a faster scroll on their Vista computer when they went down to .5 (was that you, Crimguy?), but on most computers it seems the best scroll is around 3 or 4. There's obviously something going on with some computers, video cards, operating systems or settings that are leading to very different results (in terms of both speed and smoothness) on some systems.

I set the scroll speed to three. That works much better? Thanks, I'll play with it some more....

Please! Vista, vista, vista ---> WHICH Vista? 32 bit or full-on 64 bit?
Will this game run on a Vista 64 machine? A 64 bit PC with 32 bit emulation?
[8D] Thank you all.

Yep, works fine on 64-bit Vista.
