Surely the current version of JTCS is vastly superior to the last Talonsoft version, with much more to come? Why would anybody want to use the Talonsoft version when this new updated product is available.

I don't think you can argue that JTCS is not the product you expected it to be, all the updates so far have been discussed in depth on the forums long before they have been released, much more so than most game titles I've ever come across. Is the answer just don't patch past a certain level if there are things you want to do for yourself?

*.SCN files (the actual completed scenario file) is not the same as platoon files.

besides you said yourself do not use the stock oob editor...rising sun editor crashes, will not get past line 3. so we cannot create squat in rising sun

A scenario is defined as:

The YOURSCENARIO.scn file.
The YOURSCENARIO.org file.
The YOURSCENARIO.map file.
The YOURSCENARIO.bmp file.

Works fine in West Front, which this thread is referring to.

it is part of the software i purchased. Also since the OOb's or torqued the editor in WF does not function correctly, Rising sun. This is sttock program with the purchase.

I posted the thread to rising sun in tech support and no responses from the official beat brigade or a solution

Solution will come with the pending 1.04 UPDATE. A week away.

OOB editors, Map Editors etc. Is there a way to turn the update download to where you download the file instead of it blindly installing.

Amazing all the fixes are going to be in the next update and then 2 years before another one.....GReeeaaaat

Not sure. Try updating a "dud" location.

I just wany the software I purchase to work without having to tweek it...that a good compromise.....I just want it fixed...the whole package if it can't there is another reason for refunds. Scenatios cannot be created in Rising sun so a third of the software is non working
