Great news and no worries. Just take your time.

As it is a bit cold now in Europe, it helps heating up my room.

mine are all intels.

v.Manstein Have you checked your setting as per post 29 in this thread?

Is 54 deg for a cpu hot?

No, 54C is pretty typical under load. Depends on the processor but 60-62C is usually the recommended upper limit these days.

Video cards usually try to keep themselves topped out at 80C but can supposedly hit 90 before things go awry. Still, 80C is a preferable limit.

With this new patch, the overheating problem doesn't occur on my machine anymore.

Thanks a lot for this fix.

I just installed the patch and the temperature is at 68°C now (was at 98-103°C before) when the game is running.
That's how it should be when playing a 2D-game on my system ... 68°C is the idle temp.

Now I can play the game again. Thank you!

Hi all, I have new info, I have installed on my computer one new Sapphire ATI 4870 512mb GDDR5 and when I play CCWAR the temperature from graphics card up to 68º and the revolutions from fan to 40%, it is too for one 2D game and this graphic card.

Of course I have not tested the card with the beta patch, I´m playing one multiplayer gc and I would like end it without problems.
