Overview - Round 11

- At this overview i have especially marked out my naval route for supplying my guerillas in the south. I use cheap freight smugglers that move extremly fast and can carry 10weightpoints each. 2 freightsmugglers travel together and transport something like 1 artillery piece with 1 pack animal & bikes and some infantry. Even though the freightsmugglers move really fast they have to make 1 stop on the way to the Mekong delta. This means that if the US/ARVN are lucky they can find and destroy my unarmed ships. So far they have concentrated on bombarding the south though.

- During the RVN/US turn they marched in to Chau Phu in the south. They are also closing in on my Khmer Rouge bases. In the north they did not move much. Just reinforced their units facing Khe Sanh.

- During this round i get one of my precius few outside reinforcements. 2 North Korean fighter squads. (I had already on round 8 recieved a USSR Military advisory unit with some engineers, 3 flakIII units and some halftracks.)

Rash Gia province and Cambodian border - Round 11

NOTE. All, or practicly all, of the ARVN, US and allied units designations used in the scenario are authentic. If the ARVN unit is called the 21st infantry then its because there was a 21st infantry. The same for the 3rd US marine division etc. (although of course there could be some errors. The HQ structure is also authentic.

Sadly this can not be said for the NVA/FNL structure. I have not been able to find good sources on this.

Overview - Round 12

- Political advisors in the UN have told the DRVN government in confidence that the US military lobby is gathering support for another strategic bombing campaign (event). This might be catastrophic for our military hopes so this round and the following i will concentrate on gathering political support (PPs) to apply diplomatic pressure on the US to stop the offensive that will kill innocent civilians.
- On this round a second Chinese depot is established outside Haiphong in north vietnam. Equipment from our allies will flow in in a faster tempo.
- The US/ARVN have called for the support from their allies in South Korea. Sources say that the Korean 1st Infantry division with an attached Engineer Regiment is planned to arrive in Hue.

Ban Me Thuot Province - Round 12

The strained supply lines are starting to show. My units are living on old roots and palm leafs. Sometimes the odd chicken.

Overview - Round 13

I am still saving up PPs for an eventuall strategic bombardment campaign.

In the north i am fighting against the weak and untrained milita of the Royal Lao army.

My destroyers are causing a lot of supply damage to US units traveling from Guam to Vietnam. The US seem to have withdrawn the 7th fleet from the Cambodian coast.

American side Turn 13:

The situation in the South has stabilised so much that the 7th Fleet is moving Northwards. I did not really want to risk the political repercussions of following the North Vietnamese army into Cambodia and was happy that I reached - for now - a stalemate in the South.
As the south got all ressources in the first turns of the game to take Chau Phu and Rash Gia the Americans were a bit lacking in the Center and the North. I am just now moving strong reinforcements from Saigon in a bid to rescue - or retake if needed - Ban Me Thuot.

The US production is currently focussed on winning the war on the ground as well as trying to secure supply lines to Saigon. The engineers are needed to repair the bomb damage on major cities in the south:
