In AI verses AI tests, who wins more often?

depends on which side I am rooting for !

Thats a good question. I would really like to hear more about the AI v AI results.

Considering that this isn't new code written from the ground up, I will remain sceptical about the AI's ability to play as the Allies (late war, not BoB) and be even remotely competitive, as that is asking a lot.

I would have to say , it does better then it did before

in fact, I think the LW is going to be much stronger then it was before also

for the Allied player, they are going to have to work to make sure, they keep the LW down, if not, they going to be in for a long haul of hurt

the trick is trying to see, if the AI Allied can do the same

most of my tests this week have been on seeing what the AI will do, I see a trend I don't like, I try to correct it

knock on wood, the last set of changes are doing what I wanted

so far, for losses, what is odd, is a 43 game, the LW will get to about a 3000 plane edge, then the Allies will hold stready, and slowly close the gap, and then it will shift back and forth

in 44, they will keep even

(of course hassle is, the game picks which Strat it is going to use, so the strats change each test)

I wonder if this game will beat Witp AE out? What do you think?

found a STUPID placement error, during my test runs, fixed that, and

I'm "assuming" -- yes I know the joke -- that most of the map errors were caught in the old days?
But, I don't recall seeing any threads about them.

the AI don't seem to like to retarget a target after it repairs, or that may be based on the Strat it is working with, but odd to see Hamburg repairing (that is a tricky one, as the player, I don't want to waste planes or men, hitting something that is damaged, but I don't like to see them get rebuilt either ?????)

How much good is it to bomb often, vs bomb heavy?
After bombing a target, does a next day follow up raid, stop/slow repairs?

okay, lastest info I got

David says the Manual is in the layout phase ??????

David says he has some files being made to send to Harley to add in (sounded like they were done)

Marc is sending me the final part of the "new" artwork

(just a word about the "artwork" it is not allowed to have the crooked cross included with the game for sale, so we have artwork that does not have it, but we will be allowed to have the "correct" artwork downloadable once the game is released, which this is part of where I been saying we should have a patch ready for when the game is released)

(so I think it would be a artwork patch and then if, a game patch, if needed (YEA RIGHT))

not sure if answers any/all of your questions, but it is what I know as of now

I do like the game followed by an artwork patch. I always was a fan of realism. I presume the artwork patch will follow the game within a few days. I do not know, but I doubt an artwork patch is too difficult. After all this is done and finished, have a few drinks and enjoy the rest of the summer.

LOL, if I were to start drinking, I don't think I would stop

a Artwork patch is basicly, nothing by bandwith size, I already got it, so nothing has to be done

ruff guess, about 120 mgs when zipped

if I have any say in it, it will be there when the game is released (but my hands are tied)
