Bernie has surrendered! I am sure he will be along later with his side.

I had a tank-heavy force, expecting to fight a gaggle of Matilda II's (Bernie did not purchase a gaggle).

1- Battalion Stuart M3 tanks (3 companies)
4- Rifle Companies
3- Ammo Dumps
3- Command Posts
2- 3 inch M3 AA guns per Infantry Company (8 total)
2- Forward Observers (1 was KIA)
1- Battery 81mm mortars
3- Batteries 75mm Field Howitzers
1- Battery 155mm Field Howitzers

I called in:

1- Company of Lees
1- Battery of 75mm FH's
1- T30 75mm GMC
1- Sniper

I believe that the weak depiction of the highly elite Brit commandos in the game hurt Bernie alot. The SAS teams should be 'elite'. With that many commandos in my rear areas, I should have had a heck of a time! I didn't even know I was winning!

I lost 270 men, and 36 AFV's. The Brits lost 855 men, 9 arty, 6 soft vehicles, 2 APC's, and 70 AFV's. It should be noted that our total original AFV strength appears to be about the same, but he showed mercy and went easy on those Matilda II's!

Well, it was Christmas.

I can't find the paper I had with the original core force on it but I believe I had one company of SAS, two companies of Commandos, one company of Vickers Mk 2 Med, one platoon each of Stuarts, Crusader Mk I, Crusader MkI-CS, Crusader Mk II. I also started with 8 batteries of 8" OB FH and one battalion of 25 pounders. Later I called two squads of Marmon Herr 37mm and a platoon of Matildas. There were some Bren 3" mortars in there too but I can't remember if they were core or not.

Goblin fought a good fight and I was able to experiment with early British forces. His availibilty of Stuarts and Lee's was my downfall. The Brits had nothing comparable at the time and I was unable to purchase any as part of my core force, though the game did later let me have a squad.

Well Goblin, we're 1-1 now.... Round 3 in a week or two, after I move?

Yep! You can go to the save and view your forces to get exact numbers, thats what I do with my bad memory! Just let me know when.
