I have seen this also
move a unit to a new field, when picking unit to lead a raid, units with 0 ready will show up, when you pick a raid, they do not show up for the mission to pick
(didn't add it to the list yet, trying to let you get some of the other stuff first

Are they Blue?
Do they turn red when you select them?
Is the second mission more than 6 hours after the first?
If the answer is "yes" to all, then they have 2 missions plotted for the day.
If the answer is "no" to any, then please give some specifics - I tried your steps and could not duplicate.
H & HS;
BtR-Beta, '43 campaign, Turn 2

Plot Bombing Mission, Palizzi AF 950,1345

Moved 12 Grp/XII AF to Le Sers 591,1420,
Plot Bombing Mission, Cagliari Port 565,1221
Pick Lead Unit,

Anyone else noticed that whatever altitude you set a patrol to fly at in BtR, they all fly at 15 000?

Think I've found it. You have to change the altitude before you pick the air unit. [8|]

Found this the other day...
'43 Long Campaign
Assign a FB to a sweep, ie. 1/11 to Calias area.
Then click Pick Lead Unit, again, only the Spitfires are displayed.
The existing lead unit does not appear on the display. Therefore I can not change the lead.
WA: Cancel the mission, & replot.

okay, I was able to work it out
that is a odd one
would say, that it took extra code to get the FB to be able to be able to sweep, that not all parts were "linked" so, nothing was added to the code to change the lead
(nobody thought to look at that part of it)

I'm playing the Allies in BTR, playing the Big Week 7 turn game. When selecting targets around Pisa, Reggio Emilia or even further north, it plots the mission as if it is coming from the island of Corisica, even though all the bombers are based in southern Italy. This causes lots of problems figuring out fighter support, etc. Plus returning bomb missions keep flying over Rome and taking lots of flak damage. Am I doing something wrong?

That's WAD, doug... The game uses the closest attacker airfield as the default form-up point.
what you need to do is move the closest waypoint to somewhere closer to your desired form-up airfield.

Great. Here's another one, and this is new with the patch as I can no longer use my old method of detecting damaged airfields in friendly use. This was to highlight airfields and zoom out, revealing a blue outlined red or orange airfield.
Airfields with friendly air units no longer show damage at any zoom level. The only indication you get the airfield is damaged is from hovering cursor over it and reading detail.

But when you move out, you see the red. This is a big step backwards for accesing information and ease of play, I'm afraid.

I understand what you are trying to acheive, I'm just not sure what you want the game to do?
I think you're trying to show two masks at once. I can't do that.

Sorry, the screenies don't exactly show the comparison I intended. Before the patch, when you clicked 'show occupied airfields', at full zoom out you got an image of red/orange damaged airfield surrounded by blue. That was really useful. You could see what units would be grounded or dibilitated and you could move them out. You don't get that anymore, that's the issue. Not finding it I fiddled with the 'show damage' and other options and zoomed in to see if I'd missed something. Then I took the screenie.
