Thx Yoshino.

I've kept quiet tonight as I've showed all the main stuff regarding fighters and the "initial" game.

When other significant things occur, like getting my corvette, hiring crew, taking ships then I'll post more. Right now, I'm busy chasing money to get these things so I can explore the universe...I can't leave the sarting system without a corvette or bigger...something that can have jump engines.

At the minute I have about 130,000+ credits so it won't be too long

mmm...apologies, but it seems Smugglers IV does not want to work anymore for me.

I've had an issue with my computer soon after rebuilding it. Initially, games seemed to run fine...now I have come across several games that were working and now aren't...Smugglers IV, Combat Mission Shock Force, HoI3 and Gary Grigsby Egale Day to Bombing the Reich...

I've had support from the various companies, but it seems this isn't Windows 7 specific and not the games fault (although HoI3 is debateable!). It seems to be machine specific...something I've installed which has affected the others.

I probably won't spend much more time trying to get this to run...tried so many times recently with the other 3 I've mentioned, I'm bored of trying. I'll probably try and re-install all these in the future...maybe the system will have somehow sorted itself out by then.

I'd like to stress that this is not a "games and Windows 7" issue...they were working fine...something, somewhere later has affected how these games run and they don't want to play anymore...but they ran fine under Windows 7.

judge:

check out the prevx.com site - there is a malware around they thought it was the latest set of windows updates but something is going around that is rewritting the registry settings to the local user from administrator. I read some of your other posts and then say this online from various pc sources at
work. Of course Microsoft after 3 days came out and said it wasn't them. The fix at prevx will fix machines going into black screens of death issues.
