Bump....
I'm also interested to know the status of this thread - particularly whether the revised XML structure is going to be in the next patch. I'm less bothered about any updated editing tools because if necessary I can write my own but if there's one of those as well that'll be great.

Hi,
I have not done any work on it since before xmas.
Have some work on Vehicles to go before all Estab types can be displayed.
Many of the fields are editable, but not all, in this first version.
I then have to write the code to convert it back into a compiled estab file (because the xml structure is a bit different the existing code des not work).
At the moment though I am supposed to be fixing a couple of bugs in the game, but my Computers Gfx card as bitten the dust so I am offline at the moment, should be back up this weekend.
Although we now have an issue with DirectX 10 that we need to solve before we can prgress, sigh....if its not one thing it another.

Would it be possible, then, to publish the XML changes that are proposed?
I've worked out that there will be an <images> tag (which is the first thing I noticed when I opened up the xml file).

All that I can say is thank you and please keep hammering away at the editor.
Again, if you need some help testing the editors, PLEASE let me know.
I might be of more help in that regard than you can possibly realize.[:)]

We put this on the back burner so as to focus our efforts on the patch. I need to discuss priorities with Paul.

The editor would be great. However on a selfish level I'd rather you put all your energies into the east front game.
