Is Blood Bowl worth getting? I was contemplating that but did not know much about it.

Depends on what you're expecting. I was hoping for a tabletop conversion, but since turns in Blood Bowl have a time limit of 2 min., it plays almost like realtime and the atmosphere wears off pretty fast.

So let's say I buy a game on Steam. I load it on my computer and then decide to go somewhere and want to load the same game on my laptop. Can I load the game on both computers or will Steam prevent me from doing so? What if I lose Internet connection for a few days, do I need an Internet connection to play Steam games? Suppose Steam goes out of business some day (maybe a competing company out sells them or something), what happens to my ability to play those games? Suppose, for whatever reason, Steam decides to stop supporting one of its games, maybe one that isn't selling very well but which I like, am I at the mercy of the Company's whims even after I buy the game?

Gary, the best advice would be to look through the steam library and try to find a really cheap game that interests you. Buy it and try it.See how you like the service. If you hate it,fine, you are out a few measley bucks. Thats how I did it. On your other questions: Steam is big..I dont forsee them closing shop for a long time, if ever.I cant recall which game it is, but I still have access to a game I bought about 5 years ago from a indie thru steam. Nobody plays it(probably) but its still available. And anyways, you can play offline if you want. YOu dont need to be constantly connected, unlike the way UBISOFT is doing it. You wont be able to get updates offline, but really, at that point the game company might not be making updates anyways....

That the problem with £80 for BftB ..... there are other deals out there that will give many more hours of enjoyment at less than half the price.

I have no idea to be honest...but I liked what I read so thought "What the hell". Would've probably paid more for it too....

I agree with Punk Reapers view...the problem with BftB is the price. I don't want to bang on about it...but I think it's important the devs and publishers get the message. I have now spent (since BftB release) £60. If BftB had been released at a more reasonable price (and I FULLY understand the objectivity argument), then it would have been purchased on day one. As it is, 3 other games sit on my drive.

Also, I would have foregone the last 3 games I have purchased at bargain price for BftB.

I am NOT telling them how to run their business...but my £40 (what I would've been willing to layout) has left them. What they have done is tap into the hardcore wargamer that likes their series (and bare in mind I LOVED their series...I often raved and promoted it...and that will not change...their engine hasn't changed - their attitude to their supposrters has)...and if that pays off, then they're lucky they have such loyal fans...apparently I am not one.

Sorry for the rant and I could do with not continuing the price debate about BftB, but I still feel strongly enough about it to need to let Matrix and Dave (even though he has verbally acknowledged that he's doing fine without my (and many others support)) know that they still have not got my cash.

Judge, well said. I am having the same thoughts. However, I have bought most Slitherine games as they are at a sensible price. My fear is that they follow the Matrix pricing at some point, I hope not.

I LOVE Steam! I bought Oblivion for $8.50 and Morrowind for $4.99 a week ago on a weekend sale. Dang, I have 53 hours in Oblivion so far! [X(]

*hugs Oblivion*

Wait...you bought them a week ago, and you have 53 hours in Oblivion already?! My God man, sleep is your friend!! [:D]

I haven't bought anything yet. I have a few games marked to grab later, a few whose demos I'm trying out, and I'm keeping an eye on the daily deals.
