Because the Scenario Editor (CC3/CoI) enforces the restrictions when creating a Scenario.  The first map (to be played on) forces a minimum of a column of deployment tiles at each border (Left/Right) and the game then takes over on subsequent maps when it is a multi map operation.

MMCCIII must intervene somehow.  How much it takes into consideration things like direction of ingress etc I do not know.

The Saved Game File Handler (CCODM) I am working on will allow you to place deployment areas anywhere you like (similar to FreeDeploy), and this will be incorporated/extended in the Strategic Game (CCOPS) whenever I can get round to that.  This will definately take into consideration direction, but also any other factors that are useful and do'ab;e.  Can I sign you up for testing? [;)]

Absolutely!

(P.S. Don't suppose multiple battlegroups are on offer?)

On the Strategic arena, why not?  but it will always come down to a 15 Slot Bg .v. 15 Slot BG (max) battle using CC, unless it is CCMx Multiplayer...

Paladin has found a few more maps with Java errors.... Looks like they are all/mostly inland so a fix should be available before the front line reaches them.

Hi players

Sorry about the maps error... i had tested them all in Cross of iron and they worked just fine.

it looks like mmcc3 has an issue with the larger maps or Cross of iron has problems when maps are used in an operation.

Any way I'm cutting the problem maps down to 74 x74 tile size and they work fine then.

thanks and enjoy the fun.

I am fairly sure it is an MMCCIII issue not a CoI issue with the Maps.

Understood

... but if the number of battlegroups is unrestricted then a battlegroup could represent a company or even a platoon.

Fantastic less barage...Love that.
Red/Blue graphics up date..Good.

I played a few maps i have never seen [X(].

Hehe..somebody has done most of the work on there for me surrounded inravnvl.
So i gave that a go....gave me a decisive victory.
The germans only had a small BG..a few Inf & Mortar...after i gave them a warm welcome ,Toasty Flame death they gave in.
My first No losses. Ok so it wasn't a big fight..[:D]

The Map pack for BO did take 20 mins to Extract..don't know why.
And a box at start up of MMCC3 said.. Duplicate Map? moscow2.los.old will be skipped.
Clicked ok...it came up again...Ok again. Then i played on as normal.

When the Campaign is reset you should se a further 10 new maps in addition to the extra ones you see now.

Also, points per side will be reduced so that should lower the number of tanks taking the field per battle.

Cheating...Cheating!!!!...No No..i didn't hear the AI complain.
I just swept up a bit...looked lonely all by it's self.

I agree VonB...but then i would..... them all.
Ho hum...It was a free gift as such.
Yeah sorry about that, i got there quick.
A nice win a few point's.....Everyone's happy...well....not the germans or Andrew.

Thinking about it i carn't test them if i don't play them.
So there's another reason to attack them....
And you're going to reset anyhoo.

Oooh & thanks Pa1adin.

I see he has a pic of U andrew in his link.

More maps...Good,good.

You can reset if you like.
But if you're happy to leave it then cool.
A bit longer won't hurt....end of the week say.
